  1. Cast for Kids immediately comes to mind, however, Reel American Heroes Foundation is also planning on giving the kids of the military families some goodies, including rod/reel combos, so anything else that can get thrown in there for 'em is also greatly appreciated. The site has all the info. www.reelamericanheroes.org www.castforkids.org
  2. Man, nobody care's if you use live bait to catch these beautiful fish, are you kidding? You are one with the fish, and are all over 'em because you are a focused, dedicated, talented angler, and we all love seeing your fish, your photography, and your fuzzy hats! Rock on, brother!
  3. Rage Tail Baby Craw by a mile. Top colors are Watermelon Red with claws dipped in chart JJ's, and Candy Craw. Eeliminator gets quite a few, too!
  4. I have the Tuto, and I love it. The 8 3700 boxes give me lots of storage inside, in addition to plenty of pockets and storage on the outside. You would be amazed at the amount of stuff I have in mine. The zippers have held up perfectly for 2 years, and show no signs of giving in. The bag itself, when full, weighs a ton, but that's probably just because I have everything in there, from tools to tackle, and everything in between. I bought mine when they were new on the market, at $160, and I think that it was worth it, however, now that the price has dropped, I'd say they are a fantastic value.
  5. In that price range, you will get a nice rod for your plastics for sure. I can't say enough good about my Cumara and my Avid.
  6. Rooster, that rod will work great for both techniques listed. I would probably get the fast tip if you're primarily going to use it in water 20' or so or less, and go with the xfast if you're going real deep.
  7. I don't know, bud, it kinda sounds like you need all those baits. Just cut down on the number of each bait you carry, but never the number of different styles of baits.
  8. Absolutely! Falcon Lake Craw is my favorite color of all time, and is very versatile. I've been lucky enough to use this color Craw since before it was on the market, and it's deadly in all kinds of conditions, believe me.
  9. Shakey head with a pearl Lobster is pretty effective. Of course jigs, lizards, and tubes are all good choices as well.
  10. Triple D, go ahead and get that Avid. They are incredible rods, and probably the best rod for the money at that price point. I have a 7' med fast, and this is one of my favorite rods. You'll love it.
  11. I own both, and that's a tough call. I guess I'd trade my '09 STX for another 201E7, but not my '10 STX. The Curado took to supertuning and abec 7 spool bearings better than the STX (more of a difference).
  12. Rage Shad (4/0) or Toad (5/0).

I've gotten three issues in the past three days from that deal. Thanks, Robert for the heads up on that one!
  14. Different strokes for different folks. You really just have to try out the two styles to see which you like better.
  15. That's a steal all day long. I paid $460 for my 10' jon boat with nothing included. Heck, the scrap aluminum is worth more than that!
  16. Beautiful fish! Oh, by the way, I know where that spot is. It's a cove off of Acid Trip Lake, near mushroomville. ;D
  17. Congrats on finding it. That would have drove me nuts!
  18. $300 bucks???? No thanks! I'll get me a CI4, and still have a hundred clams for more stuff I don't need.
  19. I treat my combos like family members. I take a lot of pride in keeping my gear in top shape.
  20. TW customer service has always been outstanding for me. Love that place! My wife... not so much.
  21. Use a heavy jig or C rig to drag the bottom, and you will learn the bottom slowly, if a depth finder is not available to you.
  22. Sometimes it's cool to just catch what you catch, but catch them how YOU like to catch 'em.
  23. The power plant is in Bow. Halfway between Hooksett and Concord on Rt. 3a. Take Johnson Rd from the South, or River Rd from the North. Today was real slow. They weren't pulling water, and the fish were asleep. I caught two huge crappie, and one small smallmouth, but that's it. Bitsy Bug jigs/Baby Craws were all that got bit at all, worked ridiculously slow. I saw one largemouth cruising that was at least 6lbs, that wouldn't hit anything! Man, I wanted that fish!
  24. I use braid for toads, and mono for buzzbaits.
