  1. Yeah, a 7 pounder in Florida, is like a 4 lber here. Still a nice bass, but not a trophy.
  2. I've had the pleasure of meeting, and fishing with a bunch of guys from this forum, and I'm glad I did. Some great guys, and some new friends for sure.
  3. The other day on an episode of "The Bass Pros", KVD was skipping a swim jig up to a shallow weed line, and as soon as he started reeling it back, it got slammed. I'm going to be doing more of it this year, regardless of whether I'm going under something or not.
  4. My wife just scored some nice Red Sox shirts for like $4 a piece, and a Columbia Omni Shade shirt (reg. $60) for $12! Sweeeet! Gotta love clearance time!
  5. You bet, Steve! That's one deadly rig right there!
  6. Welcome! I hope you're ready to learn a whole lot!
  7. They look great! The only problem with the one on the right, is it doesn't have a Rage Tail on it! That's not true that they have too much action for cold water, either. I was out two days ago, and the only thing that caught me bass, was Baby Craws, and the water was 45 degrees in the river I was fishing.
  8. Nice! I'll take that any day, but especially when it's all icy at home! Great catch!
  9. They do have a great bunch of folks over there at Strike King. That's a great package for sure! Enjoy!
  10. I think they will now.
  11. I use Invisx, and always use the Palomar, and have never run into a problem.
  12. Falcon Lake Craw is my favorite color. It has worked wonders for me in low light, bright sun, clear water, or murky water. Doesn't seem to skip a beat.
  13. Jigs have accounted for a very large percentage of my bass for the last two years. Before that, I really didn't have the desire to try them. I wish I had sooner, though. What really convinced me to work on them seriously, was all the input from the folks here. The word jig came up so much, I just had to see what the deal was for myself. I never fish now without a jig combo on board. They are so versatile, and they catch fish. Period!
  14. I only really feel I need rattles at night, so no, it wouldn't matter to me at all. 80% of my jigs don't have 'em, and I have rattles to put on if I really want to.
  15. I work shallow to deep with a football head jig with Rage Chunk, or parallel to the bank with a swim jig.
  16. Yup, the good ole Merrimack, bro! The section up there in Bow is about the only water around I know of that isn't hard, so I gotta do it, you know? A little sub-arctic temps can't keep me from rippin a few lips! I hope ya'll are makin' it through the winter okay, and catching something if you do get to wet a line.
  17. Very nice! And yes, 2010 was a good year.
  18. The Baby Craw works weightless, keel-weighted, weighted Tx rigged, as a jig trailer, on a drop shot (worked for me today on a drop shot), or a Carolina rig. It's also absolutely deadly on a swim jig! Keep with it, and it will catch you fish, for sure!
  19. You mean like this? It was so friggin cold out there today! I ended up with 12 smallies, and 1 largemouth.
  20. Thanks for the heads up. I gotta get in there tomorrow. I have grabbed a ton of stuff when they do this for cheeeap!
  21. I have a few of those rods (Avid, Crucial,Lowrider XG, Vendetta), and for me out of them,my favorite, is my Avid.
  22. I know everybody's gonna say big, and that does make sense, but for me, I have still caught way more bass going small in the winter. I also made a pact with myself to go big this winter to see if that stat changes. Jury's still out.
  23. I can't believe what constitutes music these days.
  24. The closest I have to a fishing trip, is yearly when I go down to help out for the Wounded Warrior/Reel American Heroes tournament. The two days before that Weekend, we all go to Briary Creek Lake for a chance at one of the monsters there, and some all around good times. Just pulling into the boat launch parking lot there makes me giddy, and I can't wait to be there again in May with all my friends.
  25. Despite the price, I can't wait to try this line in the Spring!
