  1. Watermelon Red or Green Pumpkin Rage Tail Baby Craw on a 1/4oz Bluegill color KVD swim jig.
  2. I can easily maneuver around in my 10' jon (has a 45lb thrust trolling motor), with my huge assed tackle bag and 4 rods, and haven't gone swimming yet (knocking on wood). Oh, and Deak, the powerplant is on the Merrimack.
  3. 5/0 Screwlock style heavy wire
  4. No doubt. The 9lb any day! That would also be my PB, and a very rare fish for New Hampshire.
  5. I bet those Dobyns/Revo combos fish like a dream, too! Impressive arsenal, David.
  6. Bitsy Bug Jigs. Everytime I go there, I clean 'em out of whatever they have. These things are killer with Rage Baby Craws.
  7. Both would be fine choices, and it will really just come down to what feels better to you. Myself, I have been dying to get a Shimano Stradic Ci4 for over a year, but the way Abu Garcia has been doing it lately, I'm now leaning toward the new Revo Premier spinning reel. They are both great companies, with fantastic products and customer service, so get what feels right for you.
  8. New Hampshire Largemouth: 10lbs,8oz (1967) Smallmouth: 7lbs,14.5oz (1970)
  9. My wife and son fishing with me, and my wife's first jig fish
  10. 35 here
  11. For pitching, I set the cast control to very loose, and the mag brake to a little more than half. This allows for long pitches if I need, and no backlashes. I love my STX for pitching!
  12. Count me in! I can assure you, though, that my entry won't be caught on a Megastrike bait, but the Rage Tail bait that I win with might have Megastrike attractant on it.
  13. I don't trust it right now. I'm not much of an ice fisherman, either, but no way I'm going out on it! My buddy took his sled on a lake last week, and it broke, and he was in up to his waist. Not fun!
  14. Um.... yes please! And the handle is just right for me! Now which pocket did I leave that extra grand in?
  15. You're gonna love the Samurai, too. You'll never go back to Power Pro. I didn't.
  16. date: Jan 19th, 2011 water temp: 45 degrees water clarity: ridiculously clear (could see 12' easy) depth: 8-12' baits: Bitsy Bug jig/Baby Rage Craw, drop shot/7" Thumper cut in half This is a river, and the only non frozen water around. Air temps were about 30 degrees, overcast, and a steady drizzle. Most fish came off of rocky points or laydown trees with deeper water nearby. Caught 8 largemouth, and 4 smallmouth, biggest two fish were 5-8, and 5-3 (LM)
  17. Haha! Sparkles! That's cute. Sounds like a nice boat, though. Probably get $7500 all day around here for it.
  18. Chatterbaits are killer, especially in muddy water, or when it's a low light time of day. I never use the stock trailer, and always replace it with a Baby Craw. My favorite, and most productive color, is black and blue. Caught some seriously nice fish on this setup, including my second biggest bass to date.
  19. In New Hampshire, any boat with even a trolling motor on it, needs to be registered, and display hull numbers, and the current year's sticker. My 10' jon boat costs me $37.50 a year. My bass boat costs me about $60/year. >
  20. The Slug-Go was what I caught my first big (probably 5lbs)bass on when I was a kid. Been hooked on bass fishing ever since. I haven't fished one in a long time, though, but they are great. Just like a fluke pretty much.
  21. Yeah, you did good. You're gonna love the Citica. For what you paid, nice combo for sure.
  22. Great job, you two! Looks like it was a good year for you.
