The Stradic F1 is a fantastic reel in your price range. I'd check 'em out in a store to see if it feels good to you.

Right now, my flouro of choice is the 100%. It's just good line, and cheap, too.

I have found it to be very tough to get bass to bite through the ice, but just like you, I always wanna try and catch 'em anyway. If you're willing to use live bait (I don't), then shiners will catch you a few for you. Other than that, try tiny jigs and grubs on a jigging stick, and bring plenty of beer!

That show wasn't too bad. I still like Hook N' Look, and The Bass Pros.

Yeah, I found that my 3 blade was waaay better in the weeds than the stock 2 blade that came on mine.

If I had about that much to spend on a baitcasting combo, I wouldn't even hesitate to go with a Crucial and Citica.

No thanks! For the few bucks it costs to send in a reel for cleaning and re-lubing, I'd rather do that and not have to worry about messing something up.

I personally haven't found a better jig trailer, than the Rage Chunk. Both are great baits, but all Rage Tails for me!

The Gammies and Owners seem to be the best hook for your money out there.

The Merrimack, but it's tough if it's windy in a little jon boat!

They're both fantastic, and have a time and place for me, but I'd have to say, the Craw has accounted for about ten times as many bass for me, than the Lobster, but I also fish it more.
