  1. Yeah, that's true. It's more of a mental thing for me, not the fish.
  2. Yeah, it's normal. I re-paint mine with auto touch up paint and then clear coat.
  3. That's what I was gonna guess, too. Put up a pic, and you'll have your answer in minutes.
  4. Wowzers, those are some nice ones in that video! Great work, Mrs M.
  5. That's awesome! Give the little man a pat on the back for all of us here at BR.
  6. Today I went out in the crazy wind for a couple hours. The fish were on! They were crushing my swim jig/Rage Baby Craw today! Big fish of the day was 6lbs 6oz, and my second biggest of the year.
  7. Congratulations! It's the most amazing experience ever. Enjoy every minute!
  8. He could be using $600 rods, and it wouldn't matter. He's rough on his equipment all the time. He probably breaks one every taping, but they don't show it. All these pros kinda take their stuff for granted and beat on it, most likely because it's given to them.
  9. I have a few Pointers, and I never saw the need to change out the hooks. I don't know what to tell ya.
  10. Braid for heavy cover or real stained water, and Flouro for everything else you flip/pitch.
  11. Dual braking is great in the wind. Really don't have to worry about it at all. I've never seen my '10 STX backlash... ever. It's just dial it in, and forget it. I never suggest to anyone to get a dual system as their first baitcaster, because it will spoil them, and prevent them from really learning how to control the cast themselves.
  12. Actually, I was curious. No electronics on the jon boat. Thanks.
  13. That's a beauty, Paul! That's the fish that grabbed my football, ate it, and swam away. Did you get my ball back?
  14. There's a huge difference. A Rage Lizard's action, compared to a Zoom lizard, is night and day. Same thing with the Craws. Then throw in differences of softness, and scent, and you have a whole new world open up.
  15. Nice, Jay! Yeah, it must've been great being out there yesterday!
  16. That's what I'm sayin', Hammer. Plus, how enjoyable it is to use. I'd actually pay more for it.
  17. Been pretty rough with the major front, and real cold temps, but I have grabbed a few here and there. I went ahead and winterized the boat already, so no more big water for me until spring, but I'll keep the jon boat in action until water freezes.
  18. Great pics! You all killed 'em that day!
  19. I don't think you're going to like Power Pro, either. Go right for the best (Samurai), and you won't have any complaints, and you'll never go back.
  20. I could have gone to Webster, Ma for a charity tourny! d**n, wish I would have caught this earlier. Good luck, Russ, have fun, man!
  21. Wow, is that a nice fish! Gorgeous!
  22. Don't be talkin' about 4 lb smallies without those pictures, man! Seriously, though, that is an awesome day on the water!
  23. Happy Anniversary, Kent!
  24. Try slowly working a Carolina Rig in deeper channels. I bet they've been hanging out deeper.
