Unfortunately you just kinda have to deal with it. I've said this before but it's been some time now. Are you looking for pretty pictures or are you looking for fish, cover, and structure? If you lessen the sensitivity to not see dead vegetation and algae blooms, you lessen the sensitivity for everything. Try getting out before the algae blooms to get clear views of the structure and then mark waypoints. Remember, you're trying to catch fish, not watch a HD movie.

The bunks come already carpeted and with new hardware. I've had to cut every bolt so far, with an angle grinder, on everything I replaced. I just don't want to screw around with it. I'll just cut off the old hardware and bolt up new.

Who makes the worst? I'll just avoid those.

All that's left is new bunks which are supposed to be delivered Wednesday, and installing the fishfinder. Waiting on that until the bunks are installed because I don't want to damage the transducer when I pull the boat off the trailer. Kid is going to bring the outboard over when he helps me with the bunks.

Got another new one to try. Customer brought me a late Christmas gift and said thanks for all the help.

They're not cheap. I paid $1400 for my Terrova in 2013. The latest version runs $2700

I lucked out. They're sold out again online.

Now....but next year, who knows. Going to return the 73cv tomorrow. The 73sv is supposed to ship next week.

Give it a try. A bobber is really designed for live bait, or plastics. What type of lure are you thinking of suspending under the bobber?

I just realized the UHD 73cv is down imaging and not side imaging. Can anyone confirm if Garmin part# 010-02338-01 is the UHD 73sv WITH a transducer. I'm seeing it listed with and without a transducer. If so, BPS didn't have any online yesterday, but they must have got a shipment in. They're on sale for $450 which is $200 less than I paid for the cv unit
