Have you seen Splinter?

Are you more into the gore factor or suspense? There are plenty of good "thrillers" that are not necessarily horror movies

I assume you have seen all of Rob Zombies movies.

Henry. Portrait of a Serial Killer. And Ed Gein was from Wisconsin not Texas. Plenty of other movies based off his life as well.

stocking bluegill in a trout pond.
Stocker trout in a pond don't reproduce. Eggs will develop in fish and their body will absorb them. Similar to a bird. An egg can be present but if it can't get fertilized, it is just an egg.

5,000 Burmese Pythons Removed from Everglades
I had read sometime ago that one of the hurricanes pre-Katrina, so it was awhile ago, had demolished one or more snake breeding facilities and that is what caused the snake problem in FL. That, plus the abundance of food has let them thrive.

Not proud of this. My daughter texted me where can she buy worms to take the grandson fishing. I told her Walmart and to check and make sure they're alive. We use pieces of crawlers for bluegill.

Turning the page
We all grieve differently. I've lost a sibling and recently my mother. It doesn't get better. It gets easier but not better. My boat has been for sale for almost a year. I've had a dozen or so inquiries, including another one today, since I pulled it off the market when covid struck. I imagine it will be gone by end of September, beginning of October when I finally decide to let it go. For me it's bittersweet. This boat works for dad. I bought it with him in mind. The next purchase will be with the grandson in mind. I'll probably take a hiatus from fishing next year. Once mom got sick, fishing took a back seat for me. In addition, my grandson lost his father this year. Sometimes plans change when life gets in the way.

A Jeepdate LOL. I took the grandson to the playground after work today. That cool car of his got him a woman twice his age. (She's 6) STUD!

Advice on rude bank anglers?
A wake boat 40ft off your starboard is more like it.

I have enough tackle to last me years, minus terminal tackle which is what I was looking for yesterday.

The Next Big Thing
I watch fishing because I'm not busy at work, or because the water is frozen. I fish, because I'm stupid. All the electronics in the world can't make fish bite. All they can do is lead you to the fish. I love fishing. If I never saw a fishing show again in my life, it wouldn't matter one way or another.

I have plenty for myself, probably 10 years worth. I went there today to get a tacklebox put together so someone else could take him fishing besides me. Literally, just terminal tackle was non existent.

Picking an aluminum bass boat
A pad hull is a performance hull. It doesn't necessarily mean a better hull in chop. Heavy is a relative term. 200lbs doesn't mean a hill of beans in the grand scheme of things. There's a fine line between performance and ride in a hull. A bass boat in its essence, sits low to the water. It is designed for performance and is not designed for big water or choppy conditions. There's a reason you see bass boat performance videos shot on flat calm water. I'm gonna brag, but I'm not bragging. Hull design is extremely important in the waters you fish. Show me a bass boat video that has footage on less than calm water.

Picking an aluminum bass boat
I'm not sold on the Vexus aluminum hull. They look nice on the trailers, but to me seem like a flashy mod v hull.

When to move on?
In general, fish of the same year class, hang together. If you have 5 fish totaling 10lbs in your livewell, you will be culling ounces, not pounds fishing the same school.

just got back from Cabelas. Went to build a tackle box for my grandson. They have almost zero terminal tackle. Hooks, weights, bobbers, all slim pickings. No boats either. I would say normal stock is 30-40 boats. They had maybe a dozen.

First day behind the wheel. Only had 1 little mishap. One of the little girls at the birthday party was in the jeep with him in the yard. He decided to stand up. She hit the gas and he did a header off the back of the Jeep into the grass...Women drivers...He's crying and all the young moms come to his rescue. Grandma says time to put the car away. Instantly he went from crying to "No! I want to drive!"

Should I be concerned in buying an older Evinrude??
A lot of the smaller HP Johnsons were made in China back in the 90's. Tohatsu and/or Honda currently make smaller HP Mercs
