Find the food. I tend to fish for bass but I enjoy a good fight no matter what the species and I do harvest fish for the dinner plate. I've said this here before. Find the food. Secondly, fish live bait in the summer. ... I had 3 bites today on artificials. Water temp was 80+. I probably would have caught more bass were I targeting bluegills today. Instead, I threw artificials and had a total of 3 bites with one landed. Caught a LM on a frog, had a pike bite me off, and lost a smallie at the boat. I can promise you, if I was panfishing with live bait, I would have caught more bass today.

Another brutal day on the Fox Chain. Water in the 80's and the wakeboarders were out early today. Caught a short bass on a frog at the first stop of the day which would be the only fish of the day. Got bit off by a pike and lost a good smallie at the boat. 3 bites in 5 hours.

Between plant shutdowns (I don't necessarily mean the boat mfg, but the parts mfgs) and people buying boats to enjoy social distancing, new boats are taking a long time to get and most showrooms don't have any. As a result, used boats are becoming scarce right now. If you really like the 19' Phoenix, you may want to act sooner rather than later

I misread your statement. I thought you believed the murder was over a truck. I just reread your comment and you were repeating what the sherriff said. I believe the murder was the direct result of a failed justice system. Elected and appointed officials should be held responsible for their lack of judgment. Every official that let this guy skate over the years should be locked in a room with the family members of every man and woman he has harmed.

I disagree. It stemmed from our lack of a justice system. Sometime in the last 20 years, criminals became victims and the victims of their crimes were thrown under the bus except for the most heinous crimes. A guy like this needs to have his skin peeled off with a potato peeler and rolled in salt and vinegar before he gets the chair. Same goes for pedophiles. Crime and violent crime is spiking all over the country in urban areas because of recent events. My brother, may he rest in peace, could have murdered someone without blinking an eye. Almost killed me a few times when I was a kid. Not on purpose. He just didn't know any better because he was born r e t a r d e d . He spent 2/3 of his life in institutions and group homes. We no longer lock up the mentally ill, just medicate them, and hope the medication works. Brother has been deceased almost 20 years. This guy had 15 felony convictions that stuck in 13 years I think the video alluded to. Did not a bell ring in someones head that maybe this guy has problems? I made a comment earlier to flyfisher that only a few here on BR have knowledge of. Now you all will know. My grandsons father was a piece of....He's dead now. Died the week before Easter this year. Court system and his mother enabled his behavior and because of that, my grandson who just turned 3 last week, will grow up without a father. He medicated himself with fentanyol and heroin. It would bore you with all the felony charges and court continuances over the last 2-1/2 years and the child custody BS. It tore our family up because the courts saw him as "Not such a bad guy" While drugs were not an issue in the above case, mental illness was. 230 charges in 12 years and no one in the justice system saw a problem??? People need to be held responsible for their actions.

Nobody said the sherriff was soft. It's the rest of the system. Apparently disciplining people who have never been disciplined is now a bad thing. We see this every day now when we turn on the news.
