I've been out in a gale warning on Lake Michigan and it was not fun. I've been out in 40+ winds inland and it was not fun. The answer is relative to the water you fish.

I would hope a marine rated charger wouldn't get damaged by water. A stated above, has the boat dried out? Maybe there is a connection somewhere that is causing a short from the moisture.

If you don't like the sea ark layout, there is no sense in repowering unless you want to be unhappy for a lifetime. Sea Ark makes a helluva hull. I have a buddy with an X19 and 175 Yammie and he does a lot of river fishing. He's never had a bad thing to say about the boat.

Tom, you make some valid points. Stability has a lot to do with hull design and the width and shape of the hull below the water line. Sylvan made both fiberglass and aluminum hulls and I don't believe we know what this one is. I'm going to guess it's an aluminum because it's a tiller. A 16ft tiller could have 10ft of deck and plenty of room for a pedal. A 16ft single or dual console barely has enough room for 1 person to fish off the bow. I'm not familiar with Sylvans hull designs and they no longer make fishing or pleasure boats, only pontoons. (I had a neighbor 2 blocks north of me that had a Sylvan that never moved from his driveway for over 10 years. Had a tree growing inside of it) I owned a 17 ft fiberglass boat that, if somebody sneezed, the other guy would end up in the water. My 20ft Lund could have Ike break dancing on the deck and it would barely make a ripple in the water. Just because a hull is a V hull doesn't mean it's less stable. On top of it, he's fishing glacial lakes of MN Rocks and fiberglass don't mix

Happened 3 years ago. Mine started as a simple crown and 3 months later my molar was gone with all my out of pocket refunded to me and a promise to build an implant once my mouth healed and after an oral surgeon had inserted a stud. Needless to say, there is still an empty space where the tooth used to be. I went in because the molar was cracked. I knew this because I went thru this 15 years ago. I told the dentist to just pull the tooth. She insisted she didn't need to pull the tooth and would make it good as new. I was at the dentists office weekly for almost 3 months because of her ineptness.

They are adding brakes because of state laws. There are certain states that require brakes on trailers over XXX pounds. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

First off, a mechanical steer trolling motor foot pedal operates different than an electric steer trolling motor. The Terrova pedal works more like a mechanical pedal, but it is still completely different. When you push your foot forward or back on a mechanical pedal you are physically turning the motor. With an electric steer, you are merely pushing buttons. If you currently have a recessed tray for a mechanical pedal, the pedals for both the PD and Terrova will not fit in the tray. Im pretty sure there is a YouTube video that has instructions on how to connect and use the pedal and remote on a PD but that will require you to purchase a foot pedal since the PD Ipilot does not come with a pedal. It will also void your warranty. Since you are familiar with the Ulterra, the Terrova will be the most similar

Yes, I owned an original Powerdrive and a Powerdrive 2 with Ipilot and I'm on my second Terrova. Speaking strictly money, and being the least expensive, the PD2 is a great motor for the money. I would not own one with a foot pedal.

There is nothing wrong with the Powerdrive motor. The issue is in the foot pedal. The Powerdrive with the ipilot does not come with a foot pedal. Therefore, you should have no problems.

Fox Chain 4/20 Windy and chilly. Water temps 49-51* Bass were uncooperative. Did catch a handful of crappies and gills.

I still have a number of Milwaukee tools that use brushes. Berlands House of Tools is the only place I can get replacement brushes. Nowadays, if you're going to buy a tool that has an electric motor, you have to shell out cash. Most of the low to mid priced stuff is garbage.

Lund Adventure, Rebel, Fury. All under 20k. All will have additional seating for the grandkids. All boats manufactured with the fisherman in mind

A lot of it is dollars and cents. If a person doesn't have the knowledge, skill, or tools to diagnose and/or make a repair, sometimes it's just easier to purchase new. Where's the logic to pay a service tech $150 to come out and diagnose a $350 clothes washer? and pay another $200 to make the repair? As did I. I never had a Craftsman tool break when it was used for its intended purpose. I wore out my fair share of tools. No questions asked warranty and the ability to swap the tool at any Sears store was golden.

Keep a spare tire and you won't need to worry. I had a caliper come off and puncture the wheel. I was able to drive about 15 miles to a trailer repair shop on 3 wheels. I wasn't fond of it, but I made it. I couldn't install the spare because the caliper and hub were damaged.

I did something close. olive oil, spicy mustard, rosemary, thyme, kosher salt, and black pepper.

Very good. Was about 4-1/2 hours smoked at 220* to reach 145*
