They can't enforce it. Not enough manpower. Nor is it against the law. It is an order (questionable) and would be nothing more than a ticket for disorderly conduct.

My mother will probably pass by weeks end. Went thru cancer in her heart last year and had a stroke the week before Easter. Mom started home hospice a week ago Tuesday. Started morphine for pain this past Monday. I have been fortunate to visit her every day and every day she is worse than the last.

It is absolutely his right to post. I did not tell him not to post. I asked him if he would not post such positive reports. I get it, we all like to brag and boast about out fishing outings. Some people are ignorant to the fact that others don't care about their fisheries. We think that every fisherman practices catch and release or follow creel limits. This is not the case. I live in a major metropolitan area. A melting pot of races and hundreds of thousands of immigrants. Let me be clear that this thread is not about race, it's about culture. Some cultures as well as poverty believe it is acceptable to hoard for sustenance. Everyone reading this has seen this happen first hand over the past 6 weeks. If you've done it all your life because the country or class you came from put restrictions on essentials needed in daily life you become accustomed to hoarding and rationing for survival. It's instinct. Again, I say this is not a huge fishery. 300 acres at best. It could get wiped out quickly and take years to replenish.

White bass aren't bad as long as you only eat the backstraps. The belly meat is nasty.

I have nothing against harvesting fish within regulations. I will be vague and just call people bucketheads. Those who do not follow regulations and harvest everything they catch. Their "culture" does not necessarily believe in American regulations. Some cultures depend on fish to feed their families. These same people immigrate to America and old habits are hard to break. There are people are harvesting fish to serve in their restaurants...just ask them. Extremely illegal and difficult to enforce.

This is a 300 acre lake at best. Doesn't take much to figure it out....and the questions are already starting. New guy who has never posted in the thread for that particular lake is asking about the creel limit for the walleye. I've fished the lake regularly since the mid 90's. Way back then, they had a bait shop and boat rental on the lake. It was sold late 90's and is a residence with no commercial zoned property on the lake except for the property the ramp sits on which has been for sale for many years. Early 2000's the lake rebounded. Word got out and after about 2010 went into another slump. The last 3 years have been extremely good fishing for all but musky. I did catch 1 last year that was probably stocked the year before.

The way the forum is set up every post in the reports thread defaults to "latest posts". Every time a new post is made it goes to the top of the list. More people will look if it's always at the top. It wouldn't bother me as much if each lake had its own subthread and you had to search for the particular lake to get the latest post for that lake. You'd have to know what you were looking for.

When I post positive reports of that specific lake, I post them in a thread dedicated to my home water. Which this is not. My home water gets a ton of pressure and is large enough to sustain that pressure. I post negative reports in this lakes dedicated thread. This lake is only a couple hundred acres. Used to have a decent musky population and a real good bass population. Both have dropped significantly in the past 15 years from harvesting and weed kills. It is the absolute best panfish lake I know of. Thru stocking programs, the musky and bass are rebounding as are walleye. I see the way the bucketheads harvest fish from my home water. This lake is 5 minutes from there. If word got out they would surely destroy the fishery.

Sent a message to a guy on a local forum to not post reports on a great fishery. Worried the buckethesds could decimate the small lake. Was I out of line?

Did you actually see them kill the cicadas? Maybe they were just the clean up crew for the preying mantis gang.
