Bourbon (Whiskey) For Beginners?
You could very well be correct sir. Gin makes me black out so I do not drink it. What makes me ornery is stupidity. Who knows, maybe I'm just as guilty as the next guy. The older I get, the less patience I have for stupidity. Hell, maybe I'm the stupid one.

How long before they feed again?
They might. You need to figure it out. So let's throw this out there. Front comes thru last night. Front means what? High pressure or low pressure comes thru. So what happens when a front come thru? Fish will revert to what's comfortable to them if they can. If they can't, it's panic mode. You ain't gonna catch any fish in panic mode. Revert back to cover and structure and fish very tight to it. 2 or 3 pitches at different angles to the same spot. The spot you know always holds fish.

How long before they feed again?
How long does it take you to make a sandwich when you feed again? Fish can't live without nourishment. They need to eat.

Bourbon (Whiskey) For Beginners?
I used to drink Beam straight. I was broke at the time. It's best used with a mixer.

Lund Renegade
Phoenix does $5M in sales annually and Lund, $250M. you're not comparing apples to apples. That being said. I run a store and have to deal with manufactures warranties weekly, sometimes daily. Every company has their own way of going about the warranty process. Customer service and warranty are 2 completely different animals. I rep a large amount of manufacturers in the HVAC/R industry and, while I am not a manufacturer, I have to abide by their warranty process like it or not. I am a dealer. My customer service skills are exceptional. I have zero control over warranty except for what they allow at store level. My point is, to discount a proven leader in the industry because of some negative warranty issues(myself included in that bunch) is wrong. I almost bought a Legend bass boat before the Lund. Probably a good thing I didn't do that. Legend was the latest and greatest boat on the market at the time. There is a reason that Lund has been around for 70 or 80 years. It's not because they build crappy boats. And I do 1/2 the revenue that Phoenix does out of a 2 man operation in a 2000 square foot storefront. Admittedly, I have folks behind the scenes doing a lot of the busy work but, the revenue is solely generated by myself and my employee and our reputation in the industry. I'm thrilled you love your Phoenix. I no longer own the Lund. It's not apples to apples.

Lund Renegade
Warranty work is done at the dealer level in numerous industries. Your new car that breaks down the day you drive it off the lot has the dealership handle the warranty repairs, not the manufacturer. My dealer should have looked into the paint issue a little further and found a competent shop to paint it. If he couldn't find one, he should have approached Lund and said "We don't have a local shop capable of doing the repaint" I blame my dealer for the warranty problems not Lund. From a consumers standpoint, I think Lund should have stepped it up a little once the claim was in their hands. The boat sat there last in line waiting for the production boats to get painted. From a business standpoint, I get it. Take care of the boats that have already been promised. As a customer we shouldn't allow companies to treat us poorly. But we should also have reasonable expectations of the processes to make things right. Everything isn't always about me. I was fortunate I didn't lose any time on the water because my issue was cosmetic.

you working stiffs. do you play hookie to fish?
No. I feel a certain responsibility to the organization that allows me to put food on my table. I have also worked in an industry, for almost 30 years, that is somewhat critical. All of my time off is planned. I currently work for a 3rd generation family owned business. I have been here a little over 5 years. The only days I have missed were planned or when mom was sick and when she passed. When you have a boss that says "Go be with your family" sometimes once or twice a month or more when mom was hit or miss, and when she passed, he said "Take as much time off as you need." When you have a boss that, at a retirement party for someone with 42 years at the company, tells you how great it made him feel that he played a role in the retiree having the ability to raise his family and put his kids thru college. When you have a boss that leaves you the F alone. <<<---Very important, at least for me. I have no problem bailing if I feel I was disrespected. I've done it more than once. You hired me to do a job. let me do it. If I can't do it, shitcan me. I'm left alone to do what I want and how I want as long as I'm making money. I get whatever I ask for to run the store with no questions asked. Might see the boss in person maybe 3 times a year, if that. I'm not going to screw him. I have 3 weeks of vacation and 2 weeks of PTO annually. I can roll over all the PTO and 1 week of vacation OR, I can cash out all my unused time at any point in time. I can call accounting on Monday and ask to cash out all my unused Vaca and/or PTO and have it in my account on Friday.

Lund Renegade
Lund try's to get the dealerships to handle the warranty issues. Took me 2 years to get my Predator repainted. Paint started peeling off the bottom on its maiden voyage. The dealer was very happy to sell me a $50K boat and not too happy they had to cover the warranty issue. After months of waiting, dealer says he got the approval from Lund to have the boat painted. I go to pick it up and I'm guessing the salesman or mechanic crawled under the boat with a brush and some touch up paint. Dealer said that's all Lund would authorize. I call BS and tell him I'm getting an attorney. I had people from multiple fishing and boating forums blow up Lund's FB page in my defense. I also told my story on walleyecentral. A guy who owned one of their larger volume dealerships had connections with the higher ups and was able to facilitate sending the boat back to the factory for the repaint. He told Lund I would be getting an attorney if they didn't take care of it. Boat was purchased new in March of 2013, sent back to the factory in October of 2015 and returned to me in March or April of 2016. Aside from that, it was the most solid, well laid out, most fishable 20' boat I have ever fished from.

Post a photo a day!
I had a ball python and a red tailed boa many years ago. The python was never aggressive towards me. The boa is the reason I got rid of both the snakes. Didn't matter how much I handled it, I was always on guard. The python never bit me or showed any aggression. Can't say the same for the boa.
