Only newborn I have ever seen, I almost hit. Was trailering to the lake and fog was thick as molasses. Momma and her baby ran in front of me. I locked up the brakes. A deceased friend of mine's son in law was a sheriff. He got called to a home that had a wrought iron fence. A pregnant doe had attempted to jump the fence and skewered herself. SIL tagged the deer and took it home to butcher. The doe was pregnant and ready to give birth. The fetus was frozen and donated to a museum.

Fires have been burning for months

Finding doctors that really care versus doctors that bow to insurance is extremely difficult. Stick it out and find a doctor that cares. We assume wrongly, that doctors know what they are doing. I only know of 2 doctors that care and 1 of them is retired, possibly deceased by this time. I jacked up my shoulder severely, years ago. I'm legally disabled. Saw doctors on my own dime and workmans comp dime. Everybody had their own opinion. Opinions from "It's in your head" to "I can do this but can't make any guarantees". I was part of an experimental surgery. Roughly #300 in the US who had had the surgery by the doc that discovered the ailment and pioneered the surgery. I travelled to KY, from Chicago, to have the experimental surgery. My shoulder doc in Chicago ended up studying under the KY doc because of me. While I'm still disabled, my quality of life is 1000% better than it was prior to surgery #3. Had I not had this surgery, I would have put a bullet in my head and you folks would be free of my BS

He asked me on Sunday when I was going to teach him how to shoot a gun. He's going to be 6 next month. An entire year older than when my dad taught me how to shoot a gun.

Angels Envy

Yep. They come from a little lake I keep to myself. Gin clear water and not overly fished. I've caught gills pushing 11" out of there. Not bad for Northern IL.

She's real dark colored for a channel. Caught my biggest on Erie a few years back. No scale. I'd guess she was 25 or so.

Carp will disrupt bass spawn. I don't know that catfish will disrupt a bass spawn but they are a predatory species. Catfish fry are prime targets for bass.

Paul Flathead? She looks in the 10-15lb range. Braidwood still have a good population of channel cats? My grandson has his heart set on catching one. Seems I catch cats whenever he's not with me. I did hit up Braidwood with him last year from shore and we got skunked.
