According to NADA average retail with a 125 is $3500. Add a few hundred for the trailer.

Small bait shops are good for bait. That being said, the bait shop will always tell you the fish are biting. How else will they sell minnows and worms?

Let me start by saying I did not watch the video yet. Zebra mussels have cleaned the water in the Great Lakes and allowed fish species to flourish. The fish will adapt. Walleye were unheard of on the south end of Lake Michigan and are making appearances more often the last few years. The goby, although egg stealers, have given fish an abundant food source. Since the smelt and aelwife populations are down from the introduction of salmon, which is another non native species. The average size fish is larger. The bass population continues to grow, the perch population has seen an increase in size and 15"-16" perch are somewhat common in the spring. IMO aquatic vegetation will do more damage to fisheries than the aquatic animals. But, What do I know? From what I understand on a local level, the zebra musses are full of toxins they have filtered from the water. The gobies eat the mussels and the larger fish eat the "contaminated" gobies. I have also heard that the micro organisms the mussells filter out is food for smaller species of bait fish ie. the smelt and aelwifes. This is why there populations are low. No one will admit the stocking/overstocking of salminoids are the cause of the demise because the amount of money it brings to the fishery. Cleaning to prevent the spread of disease is more believable

Lund has done most of their marketing towards big water walleye guys. Very popular boat on the Great Lakes and up north and they ain't cheap. I thnk the 2010 Predator is around 40k with a 225. The Pro V which is their flagship model is close to 50k for the tin and even more for the glass version. They keep their value. I know a guy who just sold a 28 year old Pro V rigged for Great Lakes salmon fishing for 10k

The only thing that's going to hold you back is yourself. I win money in my tin boat regularly. I qualified and fished Guntersville this past spring to fish for 50k. There was one other deep v and a couple Xpress boats in a 190 boat field. The fish don't care. That being said, I'm in the market for a bass boat. I need more room. The kids are grown and I'm not pulling them on tubes anymore. My 2 cents, If a 17ft Tracker suits you now, then get it. You may need more boat, down the road, you may not. Life has a funny way of changing plans. I wouldn't worry about it until then.

They can't compete because of the way the product is distributed. Rather than distribution thru route sales (i was a route salesman for Hostess close to 20 years ago), they should sell to regional or national grocery distributors. Leave the stocking and promotions to the market employees and mini mart owners. 20 years ago drivers were making 35k-50k+ bennies from the Teamsters, depending on the size of the routes. Me, I like the Honeybuns.

Let me rephrase. Can't legaly carry. The guy who used to live next door to me carried everywhere. Already have an XD.40 and a Bersa Thunder .380 The XDS looks like it's roughly the same size as the Bersa. Cabelas is out of stock and has a long waiting list for the XDS. I rarely actively look for new guns, just kind of buy them when I find one I like.The XDS is on my list along with a Henry lever action .45. Maybe an AR somewhere down the line.

Don't know how cold it gets by you but if theres a chance of freezing, make sure you drain all the water out of the motor after each trip to avoid any freezing. Otherwise throw some stabil in ther and enjoy fishing year round.

You're fortunate there are no shop, rag disposal, or enviromental fees. I think I spend about $250 out the door every spring for plugs, fuel filter, gear lube, and engine treatment. Don't know if that's high or low.I've used this shop for 13 yers or so I do know can trust their work. I've had emergencys before tourneys where they will drop everything to get me going. Had a power loss issue on the water with the TM. Turned out to be a bad battery. He said $140. I'll put it in right now. I said I can get a battery for under a hundred bucks. He said $99 and handed me a wrench. If you can trust their work and depend on them in a pinch, paying a little extra may be worth it. I've heard too many stories about guys drop off their rigs and they are gone for weeks with nothing getting done.
