What does 80 year old taste like? Depends. If you try an adults only forum and it doesn't work out you just shut it down. Another site I go on is having this same debate as we type. If one does not want to participate they need not click on the forum. If things get way out of hand I believe the majority of BR members are responsible and would PM the mods to let them know whats up. The other site I frequent has plenty of guys who fish together and like to do some ball busting, but just like BR it's a family friendly site. It doesn't matter to me one way or another If you add an adults only forum, although I'd probably spend alot of time in there

The breaker is to protect the wiring, to keep your boat from catching fire, not the motor. Use a 60 amp breaker if you are using 8 awg wire. The motor will draw what ever current it needs to run. If the motor draws 50 amps on high it will blow your 30 amp breaker all the time. Yes and no. You are assuming the motor is in perfect working order. If the motor has been working ok, not tripping the 30 amp breaker up until now, I would believe there may be something causing additional resistance and tripping the breaker. Could be an internal issue which may be repairable before smoking the motor. Could be fishing line. If the motor RLA is 30 amps and it is drawing 50 there is something wrong. If you just change the breaker to a 60 you may smoke the motor and it will no longer be repairable. We don't know if this motor is equipped with an internal overload for motor protection, and even if it is, that doesn't mean it works properly. I guess the question to ask is... Is this a new problem, new boat, or was it working ok up until now and just recently started happening?

Make sure the motor is rated for a max of 60 amps. if 30 amp is the max and you put in a 60 you'll burn up the motor.

Do you need the rims too? Would be cheaper to just buy the tires and have them mounted. I had a blowout early this year while on the road in Florida. I think I paid $99 out the door. I got home and replaced the other one. Ordered the tire online for $60, had it shipped to my local NTB and paid $10 to mount it. Not sure what brand the tires are off hand but they are radials not bias ply.

I have the Powerdrive V2/70/US2 w/ I Pilot and the only 2 negative things I can say is the the powerdrive can not be used with a footpedal to override like the Terrova can, and if you lose the GPS signal or experience interference it needs to be run manualy. Excellent for river fishing in current and fishing in the wind. You can point the direction you want to go, set the GPS speed and go. The anchor feature is really nice. Comes in handy especially when you catch a fish you can hit the anchor button and not have to worry about running into shore or out to the middle of the lake when your trying to get the fish unhooked or take pics,or if you have to retie. You can also plot a trolling course and retroll the same area. It has a built in overload that kills the motor if you're running high amps either from Mud or heavy weeds. It resets after you kill then reenergize power to the unit.

Don't have one. I really didn't see any negative reviews on the gun. Have you picked one up? How does it feel in your hand? It looks a little awkward. I have a Bersa thunder .380 which can be had for about $100. more than the Hi Point. I bought that because of the low price and it got excelent reviews. Feels really good in the palm, and I have big hands. Nice little gun. Be careful with that Buffalo Bore. I damaged my Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan firing their 360 grain .454 casul rounds. Ruger repaired the gun for no charge and I have switched to a Winchester 260 grain on their recomendation with excellent results. Don't sell Ruger short. I also have a Ruger P95 9mm which I've put countless rounds thru without a failure. I like it better than my Springfield .40

I'm sure you're just joking,right? rowyourboat had the best advice. You don't need to spend a great deal of money to fish. I bet most of us started out using "junk" and had a lot of fun. My advice, read the articles in this forum. Just you wait my friend. I'm not just talking about the bait monkey. One day you will buy your first boat. Then realize you need a truck to pull the boat. Then you realize the boat is not exactly what you wanted so you buy a bigger boat. Then you need a bigger truck to pull the bigger boat. Then you need a place to park the boat. Then you have to maintain the boat. Then you have to pay money and enter into tournaments. Then you have to upgrade your equiptment because "all the other tourney guys have expensive stuff", and well, expensive stuff catches fish. Then you're going to want to travel cross country to fish the lakes you see the pros fish. Then next year I have to buy another boat because I've grown out of my second boat. Oh why won't it just stop? And so on, and so on. Before you know it you have spent tens of thousands of $$$ to catch a stupid little fish. I should have taken up soccer. All you need for that is a ball, a pair of shoes, and a pair of shorts. 8-)

Buy a quality map or google sattelite the body of water.

Take up a less expensive sport.

The states would actually get more money as a result of price increase for a regional license. How they spend their increased revenue would still be up to them. Each state would benefit from money spent on tourism. States rules would not change. No state would loose anything, but would gain by fishermen spending money on their trips. So you're saying that people currently are avoiding traveling to another state to fish because of the 20 or so dollars it cost for a 1 week out of state license. I find that hard to believe. I pay $13 for an annual resident license in IL and $60 for an annual non resident for WI. If the fee increased for a regional license to lets say $75-$100. I believe many more people would take a chance and poach rather than pay the fee. You would have to have universal regs. If people no longer have to go to a bait&tackle store, visitors center, or Wallyworld in the state they are visiting to purchase a license, where would they get the local regs from. You assume that all fisherman are ethical. They are not.

All drivers licenses are valid in every state, but because of "lack" of communication/cooporation the validity of such license may differ. You can have a suspension on your DL in a neighboring state for not paying a traffic fine but be driving legaly in the other 49.(Trust me) You would need universal fishing regulations for the 50 states. Any site specific regs would be a thing of the past. I am willing to bet that the majority of fisherman would never bother picking up and following the DNR regs for each state. Too much work involved. The interstate and intrastate system of roads are very similar in each state. The way each individual state supports outdoor activities varies greatly. Here in the state of IL very little money goes into upkeep of the outdoors and state parks compared to our neighboring states. In fact they closed 10 or so parks a couple years ago due to lack of funding. They have since reopened a few. Our DNR staff has also felt the hit. WI and MN put alot more money back into the outdoors and you can really tell the difference between here and there. All the states would be expected to have somewhat similar "outdoor conditions". That would require states that are lacking now to step up to the rest OR the states that are leading the way to fall back. I'd put my money on the latter.

I purchase Illinois and Wisconsin annually, and weekly licenses when on the road. And agree with swilly78 about a national license
