  1. i have somewhat of a dumb question. i stocked up on some 6-8 lb zuri hybrid and what knots do i stay away from? i know there are knots you stay away from using fluoro and braid but what about the hybrid?
  2. what is the big deal with the SD jam knot? it seems similar to the improved clinch knot. what is the difference and why is it ideal for cranks? just askin bc i dunno lol
  3. yeah i can see why. anyway he is the kind of guy that has a good year and boasts that he is a bass killa LOL. it was his best year last year and i swear he thinks he is a pro. kinda childish but to each their own i suppose
  4. awesome thanks! he did it right i think its bc the line is very wire like and stiff.. he did not put too much on. i watched him.
  5. gotcha.. thanks guys... i have used them years ago with no issues but the size 14 maybe too small. i will look for those snap locks.
  6. so my cousin came over and he was putting new suffix 12lb line on a spin rod and he did it exactly how you are supposed to with the face of the line spool facing the rod etc etc.. well when he let go of the line after he had spooled it, over half came flipping right back off. is there a cure or alteast a good reason why? i showed him how to put it on bc his way is the wrong way. made me look like the fool lol
  7. spin reels for light lures and light lines... oh and catfishing (larger rods and larger line)
  8. do you guys use snap swivels for cranks and other baits ? i bought a pack of size 14's (the smallest they had) for easy changing cranks. do you guys use them and if not why?

what size line do you guys use for shakey head? and what length rod in MH?
  11. what brand of buzz? nice fish btw
  12. i am using the excalibur Silver Thread and i like it. as far as abrasion resistant its about as good as any other copolymer line.. if you need something that has to be abrasion resistant no matter what i would go with another line personally just in case
  13. jack's worm by Case lures. awesome worms, i use the smaller ones for smallmouths
  14. looks more like a Roadrunner on steroids. yeah its deff a roadrunner for bass or large pan fish. some days they work great and some day they do not. about like any other lure i suppose. we used them a lot for pan fish (roadrunners)

how far up did you attach the swivel? also, how many of you use an attractant on your flukes?
  16. only time i adjust during a fight is either A) too lose a drag or too tight a drag (big fish with hard tugs)... i keep mine at a happy medium.
  17. i am really liking the Silverthread Excalibur in 12lb (10lb diameter) its limp and seems to be pretty good for cranks
  18. ahh a perspective i have never seen nor tried..hmm awesome thanks
  19. keep the hooks in their bags and all will be well.. i use baitboxes and gallon freezer bags to hold my lures. fishing vests do not hold what i want, not enough room. i use a vest fly fishing but never bass fishing. bookbag all the way. lots of room and light
  20. here you go nick this may help http://bassedge.com/media/show/397
  21. Yeah I saw this on TV but it seems like when I hit the branch to realize I need to let it float up it's already hung! Maybe I need to slow down when cranking? LOL yep thats me as well. it takes concentration. you will feel the line stiffen, thats when you need to eithe slow down a ton or just stop and feel your way through it. its hard now doubt and the pros make it look sooo simple but its not. what you could do is buy some cheaper cranks and practice with it. i know thats like purposely flushing $$ down the crapper but i dont know how else to get better at it. there were some videos on youtube that show you how to get un-hung. But the easiest way to get unhung is to reel your rod down to the lure it almost will always come undone when you do that! yeah i know that one but at a distance so you dont screw up the "hole" know what i mean. ill try to find the youtube stuff that shows you how to do this ( i have tried it and it doesnt work for me but i maybe doing it wrong)
  22. YUM has done nothing for me thats for sure. i do not use scents (not that i am closed minded to it) just never had really seen the difference using them and not using them. i may try megastrike one day
