Casitas Guys, need a little help please...
If you are going to be fishing from the shore i would go to the second launch ramp...starts with a C...off of that ramp to the right there is a great point that i have seen a ton of guys catch fish off of....also if you do happen to get into a boat, left side of the island there is a great hump, depending on the water level it could be anywhere from 10 to 40 feet deep. You will have fun no matter what time of the year...it is a beautiful lake and the cafe on the main ramp has some d**n good food.

Casitas Guys, need a little help please...
i think you have to get your boat inspected there and then wait a couple of day or something like that..... drop shot 6' worms is a standard, i would start along the right side of the lake and work your way around the island hitting every main outside point. almost every color Robo worm works there. Oxblood to Aarron's magic, i have caught fish on it all.

WOW!!
When you are making that amout of money, all that stuff really doesn't matter. What's $100,000 if you are making a million a year? Plus sponsors will pay for most of it.

Pay as you go phone?
I would go with T-Mobile. Also look into MetroPCS...saw they had an unlimited plan for 4 lines only $100 a month. I would say beware of Boost Mobile. They have some dumb fees.

Problems at big tournaments
It is sad but nothing will stop them if they want in bad enough. I bet you a lot of the times it is people you fish with on a regular basis. If you can, don't keep a lot of stuff in your boat. Lock down everything. Locking cover and the whole nine yards. You could just sleep in your boat...nothing would happen then. ;D

Michael Phelps does it again...

Castaic Lagoon WHOPPER!
Like i said this goes alot deeper than i want to get into, castaic is not "my spot" i have never even fished the lake in my life, claiming bad sportsmanship is not so bright on your part because this particular situation has nothing to do with sportsmanship, more to do exploiting fishing spots on the internet for praises, selfishness is not an issue here at all on my part, its the protection of fisheries from those that do not care to c.p.r, clean up trash, obey d.f.g laws and fish ilegally, the consequence of this usually turns out bad for the smart angler, and yes i belive strongley that there are idiot fisherman and smart anglers, so the poor guy at work maybe should find a better job that sittting over his p.c in sloth mode being a comment hore and bringing the crowds to other's spots do you have any idead how many member f.f.n has?? and half of them are just lurkers. I dont think you see the whole picture and your lack of knowledge in this partictular situation just makes you look a bit foolish. Do you research buddy. I have fished the main lake at Castaic almost every weekend for years. The lower lake is never "Presurred" The most boats i have every seen out there at once was 9!!!! CALM DOWN! It is still full of great fish.

All Santa Clara lakes closed due to quagga mussel problem.
. Bass in the lake are not going to suffer from the mussels. The only thing that will suffer are the water pipes and fishing line. I like your optimism about the "authorities" trying to develop a scientific approach but in California that is not the case. The parks are run by wack jobs that don't know quagga mussels from pea gravel. They don't know how to handle a problem so they just shut things down. We have been going through this ordeal all year long and it is getting really old. Just my 2cents. Sorry to hear about Coyote. They had Stevens Creek closed when I was there in May but I think that was for mercury or something like that. At least you still have lake "X" right? they aren't doing it because of the fish...Most of those lakes are California drinking water. There don't want the mussels to grow around the outlets and block waterflow. I know at casitas your boat has to be completely dry, then they inspect it and seal it...then you have to wait like 3 days before you can launch your boat...A little crazy if you ask me but i understand the reason.

Any Casitas shore fisherman here?
There is a good fishing from the shoreline. If you are looking at the main ramp, turn left and walk down. They sometimes use that area as a alt ramp when the water gets low. There is an old road that run way out into the lake..on the right side of it there is like a curb underwater and a lot of fish like to hold on it. Also that whole shorline there is covered in reeds that the fish like to hold in as well...really good during spawning season. if you go to the other ramp, there is a really good point down the off of the bathrooms...also a fishing dock which i have seen a lot of people catch some good fish on. Good Luck! PM me if you want some great colors and different things to throw.
