Bingo..Worming is hard work, and as said requires LOTS of patience..it'll payoff ..Also, I use a spinng set up for my worms, seems to work fine, have caught fish on my bc'r too..I personally don't see a difference in either. One last thing re: worms ect..you'll get a good feel for the bottom of the lake.

I've found that at different lakes, I need to change colors too. And depending on the lake, Roboworms work better than Senko's...go figure that one out..lol Senko...pumpkin, watermelon Robo...oxblood with red flake, MMII, Aron's Magic.

I opted for the clear on all my reels, some lakes I fish are slightly stained, some are pretty clear. Also you'll find that the stretch factor is WAY less compared to the Triline, which I used for about 3 months.

Never really pegged mine...so unpegged has worked for me for a long time, so I'll stick with it..although I do have some toothpic's in my tackle bag..

Broke my first rod last Sat..brand new bps finesse caster..I got snagged and didn't realize the butt of the rod was against the side of the boat, pulled the line rod tip bent.....then snapped. :'( Been fishin for over 30 yrs.. :-[

Yo Zuri hybrid ultra soft 8 lb on my spinning 12 lb Yo Zuri hybrid ulta soft on my bc, I might even go to 10 on the BC..

I had a thread re: bad hook sets a few weeks ago. Got some great advice from a lot of you guys. Anyways, yesterday was the fist time I hit the water due to moving. Although it was slow day, caught 4 lost a big girl due to wrapping my line around a tree, then I broke my rod (my fault) I didn't lose 1 fish because of a bad hook set, in fact a 3 lb'r was barley hooked inside of his lower jaw and still landed him. So thanks y'all.bassresouce folks Rawk. 8-)

I have 8 lb on my spinner, didn't bother with the kvd conditioner....no need for it..

Sorry, I meant to mention that it was the hybrid ultra soft. I actually caught some bass on it today..I love this line. Only bummer was, I broke my new BPS finesse bc rod..

O.K. after hearing all the hoopla bout yo zuri hybrid, I finally spooled my bc up with 12lb clear, and went fishin today at a local small lake. Here's my take on the line, after using triline xl, fireline, izorline xxx, stren ect..No pre streching or conditioner like I did with my other lines. I was Pleasently surprised on eaasy it cast's, had 2 pro overruns (my fault) and that was it, I fished with a 3/16 and 1/4 oz bullet weights. I also noted that the line is danm hard to see out of the water unless I had a dark background..lol (old eyes) It's just to bad the bass shut down due to a cold front.. We are heading out tomorrow for further testing.. BTW, I spooled up ALL my reels with Yo Zuri Hybrid..y'all know who to thank for that.. ;D

I usually take 2, a 7' mh fast action baitcaster, and a 6'6" m fast action spinner. I'm the opposite, my bc is my finesse rig..

I fish worms Alot! lol as mentioned there are several ways to fish a worm..The bass will let you know what works best. You do everything from slow rolling to deadsticking. There are times when t riged I will cast out, and let my bait sit for up to 2 or 3 mins..then just twitch it a few times or I'll make it crawl for a foot or so, then stop, twitch and repeat or vary the retrive. Experiment with your retrives, sometimes you can catch fish by swiming your worms, it just depends. Also try mixing up the variations when you retrive,i.e. cast, twitch..then slow roll it, ect. If you have timber in the lake, I find that if I can get the worm to slide up a log/branch and let it sit, then wiggle it a couple of times, that gets strikes when other things don't work. Good luck and think outside the box..

I've spooled up 1000's of yrds on spinners, never had line jump off..I tie a slip knot around the spool, and apply some tension while reeling the line on. oth, I usually use softer line, i.e. triline xl, ivorline xxx, or yo zuri hybrid. Oh, you might try some KVD line conditioner too..

My son has the elite, I have the extrem bps...no comparison..Although the morris is nice, I would also opt for a shimano, or other reel.

I just need #1 and 3..
