  1. Most anytime, especially during the winter months when the ponds/lake did their trout plant.
  2. I got over the Bling thing years ago...
  3. Looks great, and the handle is on the correct side..?
  4. Years ago when I was throwing the 8" BBZ, I used a Dobyns Champion 806 with a Shimano Curado 301 E, worked great for that BBZ.
  5. 12# mono for many years.
  6. T rig for me.
  7. Personally, I would get the 7'2" H for frogging, can't think of a reason why you would need a XH for that presentation. And yes you could use it for pitching also. I don't have any experience with that rod, maybe others can help you that have that rod.
  8. Just messin with ya. ?
  9. Dis'n the 76 year olds..? If your lucky, you just might see 76 in your road to old age.?
  10. Should be good to go with what you have.. Good luck.
  11. I fish the lite trout in waters that don't have trout. If you have second thoughts, and you have say bluegill in your lake/pond then go with that, also babybass would be a good choice too.
  12. Spinnerbaits work in open water too. In fact I had a solid 6+ lb bass breach about 2 feet in the air trying to get my 1/2 oz. shad pattern spinnerbait on a sunny day, glassy water conditions. I did wind up catching her. The next day, got a good 7 lb'r on the same spinnerbait, same conditions, only later in the day, around 1:30 pm.
  13. Anytime is when I throw a spinnerbait. Caught bass with them in all conditions.
  14. Yes, at least I do. I find the 200 for any baits over 2 oz. to be a bit overworked, for lack of a better word, where as the 300 chucks them out there with ease.
  15. For the weight range your going to use, the Tatula 200 6 speed will work just fine. I normally use my tatula 200 for 1.5 oz up to 2 ozs.
  16. In Japan they keep Otters as pets. They can be very funny at times. Here's a video of a 2 that are kept as pets. He has other videos that are much more funnier.
  17. Also, try the Band Aid Flex Fabric band aids. Those suckers stick like glue.
  18. Anglers Marine and The Long Fin in Orange county, So. Cali.
  19. I have both the regular 6" and a bunch of 68's. As Tom mentioned, the regular 6" doesn't have the action that the 68 does, and for that reason I tend to fish the reg. 6" during the colder water days, I also tend to fish it in gin clear water, sometimes no matter what the temps are. Any other time, and especially in stained water, the 68 gets the call. I throw these hudds on a 7'9" h/F rod rated to 4 ozs. Reel is a Diawa Tatula 200, with 17 lb. mono.
  20. Funny, I had the same reaction as you, due to taco bell. Never again after that day.
  21. Cuz, it's FUN, just like it was 60+ years ago.
  22. I fish from shore mostly. I have a 8', 7'11" and a 7'4' rods. 99.99% of the time there are no trees, ect to get the way of casting those.
