  1. It was under 100. Didn't get to spend as much time on the water as I would have liked.
  2. That just took me beyond confusion.
  3. That is still somewhat confusing. What differentiates the two? Size?
  4. There is never much of a ice over here, so of the lakes might get a small sheet of ice over them. With that being said, you're probably not going to find me out there having to warm up my hands every couple of minutes.
  5. I prefer the Spro. There is a good video on here of Big-O explaining how to rig the Rage Toad if you want a soft bodied frog that will run like it's supposed to.
  6. I keep a bottle in the kayak, but always forget about it and rarely use it. It has seemed to work well when I remember to use it.
  7. They are the company that sells a lot of their products in like 25 packs, correct? If so, I have seen them at Academy Sports and always wondered how good their products were.
  8. Of course you will want to vary your retrieves in accordance to what the fish are looking for, but casting it, jerking it once or twice, then letting it sit for 10 seconds or so in between jerks has worked well for me.
  9. Thanks for posting this. There is a ton of info here that I have learned from, as it is anytime I see Catt post something. But not to take away anything from the rest of y'all. Thanks guys!
  10. I want to get some keel weighted hooks. What type and size is recommended for different baits?
  11. Just like I am starting to grow a fond attachment to the Space Monkey.
  12. Baby Brush Hogs are killers in the creeks and rivers!
  13. I like pitching creature baits right into the weeds.
  14. I like all of the colors that I would use with other soft plastics. (Watermelon, Junebug, etc.)
  15. You could buy a stakeout pole (see the link). http://www.captdick.net/StakeOutPole.htm Or I've seen guys just cut off a broom handle and stick it through a scupper hole (if you're using a SOT), or attach to an anchor trolly. That would be a much cheaper option. I've have been thinking about getting something like this myself, to quickly be able to "drop anchor". Hope this is what you are looking for.
  16. The more I try and figure it out on my on the more confused I become, so I am hoping someone could help me out here. What different types of line do you use for specific techniques, and it would also be very beneficial to me if you could please tell why you use each. Thanks
  17. How are you rigging flukes on there? With an exposed hook coming out of the back?
  18. I prefer a sit-on top for a couple of reasons. 1. Especially for fishing rivers, you don't have to worry about getting water in them and well, sinking for the most part. Any water just goes out of the scupper holes in a sot, where you don't have that option in a sink. 2. There are more rigging options and places to put stuff on a sot, i.e. rod holders, depth finder, etc. Edit: I wouldn't go and craiglist your kayak just yet. Give it a shot, there are many people who you will find who are sink advocates and refuse to use a sot.
  19. Yall are right, my mistake. I read it and immediately though DT, not DD. Sorry about that. But just for the record, I don't like the sureset hooks.
  20. I actually had pretty good luck with the XPS Nitro Minnow this past week.
  21. How would you fish those, like a swimming straight retrieve, or would you work it along the bottom?
  22. If you don't mind me asking, when do you personally, use an EWG?
  23. But I'm sure that you, like me, always find room.
  24. The sureset hooks are the ones that a lot of people, including myself, don't like. To me that have a tendency to get hung up more than most, and I haven't seen them make enough of a difference in getting good hooksets enough to warrant them getting hung up more often.
