  1. Yes, this is a common modification for Spooks. I use them on mine but I can't remember the size and I'm at work where I can't look at them. I think I have #4s on my Spooks as Marty suggested.
  2. Welcome to Bass Resource, Bryce!

    Welcome!
  6. It's good to see you back and posting! Nice fish too, Dude!
  7. Welcome to the Bass Resource forum!
  8. I see your point too, Grimlin. There is a difference between breaking the law accidentally and purposely breaking it, though some of those items I mentioned are purposely done by drivers every day.
  9. Grimlin stated: I believe most of us are talking about drinking on lakes where it is allowed. I don't think anyone is advocating drinking where it is prohibited. However, have you ever driven 5 mph over the speed limit, blocked the left lane of faster traffic, forgotten to use a turn signal when changing lanes, taken a rolling stop, forgotten to wear your seatbelt, etc. I suppose on the rare occasion you do one of these things you want someone to make note of your license plate and turn you in. Some of these things can be just as dangerous, if not more, than ONE FREAKING BEER. I think a little mercy and restraint are called for in some situations. Each to his own. Irene, Irene, Irene, . . . . I sense she is on the horizon.
  10. I can't wait for the Glenn May outtakes and bloopers video.
  11. Welcome to the Bass Resource community, Joe!
  12. Be careful though, the lure with maximum action isn't necessarily the most productive lure. As often as not, a lure with natural subtle action will outproduce a more lively active lure. This is especially true in cool water, clear water and after a cold-front. But I can't wait till they're available either!! Roger I've been reading a lot about action and I was thinking about your point above recently. Good action is great at times, but when bass are sluggish it can be anathema to a fish.
  13. Many of us feel the same way. Work impedes on our fishing time. Who came up with this idea of working for a living anyway? Welcome to the community!

  15. Welcome!
  16. Thanks, Flechero. I tried to make that point a few pages back but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears. Again, one beer at 5 percent alcohol ( and most are actually a bit less than 5 percent) is six tenths of an ounce of alcohol. The average liver can process about one ounce of alcohol an hour. That means if the liver processes alcohol at a linear rate, the six tenths of an ounce will be gone from your system in 36 minutes. It would appear, from the facts, that drinking one beer, as opposed to four or ten, would be highly unlikely to cause any harm except for the smallest of human beings. On many subjects such as this, there is a spectrum of opinions ranging from an extreme at both ends of the continuum (i.e. One should not drink any beer as opposed to someone who says drinking two six packs is ok.) Usually, the correct answer, based on the facts, is not at the extremes of the continuum. (The same can be said for political opinion.)
  17. Nice move, Lund Explorer.

That's a beautiful fish. Sorry to hear about her demise.
  19. DUDE! That sucks...We all stepped up for you, but not winning the prize after all the participation is a little misleading. I sure hope you get the trip., but the whole deal smells like rotten fish to me. -Kent I agree. I'm glad you won, though. Congratulations!
  20. Funny! Good point though. I've found that when this happens it's time to stop out in the middle.
