  7. Welcome! I'm sure you have a number of questions. I would suggest you begin by clicking the Fishing Articles tab in the upper left of the screen. There are articles for beginners and just about every topic you can think of. For your specific questions on rods, reels, and depth finders you can use the search tab in the forum menus above, or you can start a topic regarding your specific question in the forums provided for that purpose.

  11. It sounds like you could use some prescription sunglasses with progressive lenses. If you think the expense is too exorbitant, go with the palomar knot and the cheap readers as Muddy suggested.
  12. Welcome, Scott! That sounds like a good problem to have. Enjoy your addiction!
  13. LOL. I still think it was the best comedy ever shown on television.

Thanks for the post avid. That's a definite reminder that life is short and your number could be up at any time.
  22. We should make a movie of your drop-shot experience. We could call it "The 67 year old virgin."
  23. For me personally, I don't think I would ever pull a bass from the water to mount it. As LBH stated, if you leave that fish there her genes will be passed on to the next generation and you'll have more large bass in the future. If I nailed a 10 lb plus fish I would probably get a replica mount. However, as I agreed with a post earlier, it is ultimately your decision.
  24. Here's some more food for thought. A twelve ounce beer that has an alcohol content of five percent contains only 0.6 ounce of alcohol (.05 x 12 = 0.6). In general, the average liver can process one ounce of alcohol per hour, so it would take the average liver 36 minutes to process the .6 of an ounce of alcohol contained in one beer (.6 oz/1oz = 36 minutes / 60 minutes). In other words, after 36 minutes, more or less, the tiny amount of alcohol from that single beer is already gone from your system. I'm not trying to encourage people to be drinkers on the water. I'm just saying that someone who has one beer on the water is not a menace like those who drink a few.
