Hey all! I am looking for a push pole to assist my trolling motor when pushing through the ultra dense lili pad fields i fish here in FL. I was wondering if anyone here has tried this one or one similar. Would it being aluminum make it too weak for this. Any suggestions on on other brands or ways to get through matted veg fields. For the 4.25" beaver i use a 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu super line hook.

I tried these going by looks alone and i hated them! They had absolutely no action no matter what speed i used on the retrieve. For the same price you can get the BBZ 4" Shad which works wonders IMO.

I had a bag that sat in my box for about 5 years before i actually used it(no lie)! Nothing was working the day after a big freeze so i put one on with a 1/4oz tungsten weight and a 3/0 EWG hook. I flipped it into pockets in thick lili pad fields and landed a 4lb fish! ;D

But won't it slip more with the loop under and around?

Man, this completely messed me up! I thought you were suppose to pull the tag so the burnt piece gets discarded? Also, the video shows the loop that you bring under the hook shank staying under the hooks eye? I thought the loop should be above the eye with the rest of the know!?! Im all confused now!!!!!!! >

I guess everyone with a small boat gets this huh!?! I always get weird looks when i launch my 16ft boat. It's a glitter rocket as Chris calls them but just a smaller version. I like smaller boats because imo they go through nasty, shallow stuff a lot better!

Don't get me wrong man! I absolutely loved it but i need a crow bar for the stuff i fish(you should see the fields of matted veg)! If i could afford to keep this and get another flippin stick i would but i can't right now. Let me know if you are interested. It is new and i am only asking $150 and it costs $199.

I say go with the BBZ 4" Shad honestly. I have had great success with the natural shad color in slow sink.

5" and 6" Senko style baits in watermelon/red flake.

I had one suck my worm down and then blast towards my boat at full speed once. With a high speed 7:1:1 Revo i could not reel in the slack if my life depended on it! It finally spit it out right under the boat and my armwas hurting after the quick battle, LOL! ;D

You are dead on -HAWK-. I mainly pitched soft plastics Sat and i wouldn't have caught anything if i hadn't been watching my line. It just started to take off towards the weed line. Even with my best rod and fluoro i felt absolutely nothing when they picked it up. We just had a cold front nd rain come in so that will most likely make things worse huh!?! :'(

No wonder i am having so much trouble! So what are the best ways to catch them when there coming off spawn? Do i just wait or what?
