Anyone else kind of a jerk?
I usually tell if I'm asked (rarely happens). Doesn't mean anything to me.... I could give you all my gear and show you my waypoints but if ya ain't got it ya just ain't got it.

Hook setting issues and a punching rod
Sometimes, you just have to put your purse down and hit em bruh! ? I punch lighter stuff with a Phenix Recon Elite 796. For the heavier mats i use a Dobyns champion 805 and a Daiwa Zillion 8ft.

Calling all Tatula Rod Owners...
I have all 3 of those rods and wouldn't trade them for anything! I truly believe that for the money, they can't be beat. They are all true heavy/fast as well but not broomsticks by any means. The 7' 4" frog rod is a beast and an awesome pitchin stick, hollow body frog and swimbait rod. I use the 7' 2" for toads, smaller paddle tail swimbaits and swim jigs. The 7'6" is the perfect flippin stick for me around medium cover. They are all really versatile rods with very crisp actions.

Lol, not in the up position they won't. You have to lower them about half way down to get out.- Show your ride...
Well, we finally got power back and I finished my power pole install. After trying many possibilities, I had to lose half of a dry storage box to mount the pumps. Went ahead and added a master cut off safety switch too.- Unhappy with my Tatula- New reel for fathers day?
Have you tried just cleaning the Tatula? My Tatula 200 HD needed it right out of the box. After that it would bomb a bait a mile! Just something to consider.- Boat buying tips and tricks (help)
I would say patience is key here. As stated above, narrow down what you want first. Then do tons of research on known issues, features etc. Check what others are paying for the same or comparable boat. Be sure to schedule the meeting to see the boat early so you have plenty of daylight to check everything. Always find your own mechanic in the area and don't tell the seller which one it is (don't ask). Take a long test drive and make sure you see it running at wide open for a while as well as just idling too. And don't forget to make sure all paperwork like vin numbers on title, trailer and outboard match up. Craigslist is definitely a great way to get more boat for your money as long as you're careful. Every one of my 7 bass boats have come from CL and i haven't been burnt yet. I do have OCD though and don't overlook anything! Best of luck to you....- Question about sandwich style Power Pole brackets
My latest boat came with a CMC power lift Jack plate. So i was unable to get the power pole brackets that mount on the side of the plate. I had to go with the sandwich style between the jack plate and motor. My question is, do you guys running these brackets always lower your jack plate down to get the most reach out of your poles once you start fishing? Or do you just leave it in the spot where your motor runs best and lose a few inches?- demolished my PBx2
Congrats on the new PB bro! Don't listen to the negativity and fish what you want and can afford. I was really late to the plopper party myself. I couldn't take all the hype anymore. First time using it i caught 2 over 5lbs in about 25 min. I'm a believer for sure....- Where the hell are the fish! ?
Sadly I am one of those guys! Haha, I'll get the push pole out in a hurry on Okeechobee or Istokpoga. Much of those lakes also don't have accessible banks. Sometimes for only a couple of bites (usually big). I'm glad cooler weather is near though.- Where the hell are the fish! ?
Very true here in FL. But, they can't hide anywhere from my 8 ft punch rod! I love this time of year because heavy cover fishing is my favorite way to fish.- The "things wives say" thread.
Mine goes once in a while just to use my back deck as a tanning bed. But, she makes one hell of a camera woman when i do catch em so that's just fine with me.- What are you guys using to clean/lube/grease your reels?
Reel butter- Looking for a rod with a very soft tip
The Phenix recon elite 715 is exactly what you need! I use it to pitch and skip 3/8-1/2 jigs. Plenty of backbone and a really soft tip. It's not in your price range but it's exactly what you're describing.- Most versatile swimbait rod?
I use a Phenix recon elite 796 with a Lew's super duty wide spool and 65lb braid for my top water rats, slammers and such. And a Dobyns 806 SB with an A3 and 25lb izorline XXX for sinking baits. The izorline is softer than CXX and just as strong. Both setups are very versatile.- Best Sunglasses
Cheap strike Kings usually for me. But lately I've been getting brave and started using my Oakley's.- Bass boat rig under 20'4"
I use to keep my 19ft boat in my two car garage side ways but my truck wouldn't fit. Break away trailer tongue helps too. I finally broke down and got an aluminum shed for the boat alone.- Baitcasters LH vs RH retreive
I will NEVER understand the whole cast right then switch to reel right thing! All LH reels for me and I'm right handed.- Carbon Fiber Dash?
You might as well try the hydro dip and see how it goes in the sun. I did s few parts with some good carbon fiber wrap and after about a yr it faded and turned to a purplish tint. - Show your ride...
