  1. So what worked in the hydrilla after all?
  2. Stay away from the HB 570! I am on my third one that i just tried this weekend and same issue! Transducer not reading the bottom and jumping around in depth readings as well! I am just going to exchange it for a Lowrance unit! My 581i is still in question because i am waiting on my bilge mount transducer!
  3. Same here..................i have NEVER caught one on a black/blue jig. My best producer is a brown and green jig with a tad of chartreuse and a green pumpkin 4" Chigger craw. Usually in 3/8oz size jig. Clear or dirty water, natural works best for me.
  4. Should have used the new Fireline Braid.....................no probs
  5. I use a Powell 705C paired with a Revo STX HS and spooled with 50lb FireLine Braid. PERFECT IMO
  6. Look like my custom made ones i get.
  7. In FL you need a boat title and a trailer registration
  8. WHAT.............spawn over!?! When, i missed the whole darn thing!!! >
  9. Mine started riding in the bass boat when she was about 3. Can't go very fast cuz she will freak out though, LOL! Always make sure they have their vest and never take your eyes off of them.
  10. I had the Argon 7' 1" H/F and it was too tip heavy and heavier than my Powells over all. I sold it on the flea market and got another Powell.
  11. The 705C is the PERFECT T-rig rod IMO. I have 3 all with revo STXs and 50# Fireline braid. It is nowhere near it's mag heavy rating but it is a very nice rod.
  12. Yeah about 2-3 weeks ago it was 58 on my 581i
  13. LOL, i tried one of my kids thermometers but it kept saying 98 deg! I guess mine is not too far off than, reads 72-74 deg. Humminbird 570 at bow
  14. RoLo, are those water temps or air temps? Seems high, maybe my ducer is not wrong after all.
  15. Man i just fished one at work and got 1 dink in 4 hours! Might be worth another look now.............
  16. Does anyone here have a recent(within a week) temperature reading of any central Fl lakes? I am trying to compare with someone because i think my sonar transducer is faulty. I just want an idea to see if mine is way off or close. THANKS
  17. Went 2 weeks ago and did best on the South end in the hydrilla fields. Depth was about 7ft and they where hitting flukes through the cuts and jig/craw baits in the pockets. Also, got some fat females on the jig deep into the cattails of Big Island.
  18. I will test it one more time before i get a refund!
  19. a 150 slow? That Z-7 will fly with that engine!
  20. Wish you were closer man! I don't really have a reliable partner either. Glad someone understands how much $ it really costs to run a boat, good luck!
  21. All depends on the weather for sure. Our trip last week was very poor due to 100mph winds! In better conditions you will "kill" them.
  22. It is wrong at all times when the trolling motor is off or on. The sonars are powered by the cranking battery(separate from deep cycle). It is an old Motor Guide Brute 54lb thrust that has the adjustment speed knob(not 5 speed). My last sonar that came with the boat worked perfect at all times. Could i be wrong and maybe the water temp is 73 deg right now? The transducer was kind of leaning to one side more than the other so i adjusted it a bit. I will have to try it again.
