  1. Man you are already missing it! Been finding spawners since late Dec. Check my latest out a couple threads up.
  2. D&M Custom Baits 4.5" flippin craw in Okeechobee craw color......and a Paycheck Baits Violator color punch skirt.
  3. I am trying to get my 3 yr old into fishing and it has not been very hard! He loves it.....the long rides across the lake at 65 mph are his favorite though.
  4. You are correct Dwight.....i plan to more specifically target bigger bass this yr even if it means less fish caught overall. Its worth it....
  5. Yea i just noticed that! After many 7-9lbers finally......im still excited!
  6. Thnx guys! Gar-Tracker, thats Lake Istokpoga man.
  7. A member of the DD club that is. My new PB weighing in at 10lb 8oz! I lost this girl last weekend flippin a jig to beds with only a 7' 2" rod. Came back today with my flippin stick and worked the same bed and sure enough! It was no easy task getting her out of the junk either, she fought hard!
  8. I use a Shimano Crucial new models in 7' 2" MH/XF paired with a Revo STX HS gen3 and 40lb Fireline braid. Whole combo weighs just over 10oz and is very powerful and sensitive.
  9. My weakness.......for scattered cover i like a good ol plastic worm and also a jig and chigger craw. For heavier cover or punching i love a punch skirt and D&M Baits flippin craw.
  10. Rattle traps have never failed me when it cools and they start to shut down. Chrome with blue back and orange belly is my favorite.
  11. Youtube and google......all you need! All depends on cover and conditions really....
  12. Same baits i always throw just bigger/heavier....except topwater, i don't throw them much in high winds.
  13. When no matter what your looking at in a store your 3 yr old asks " is that to catch fish with dad".......jus sayin
  14. Shimano Cumara 7' 7" H/F, or if u did decide to go larger the new Cumara 7' 11" H/XF....
  15. For the rod, go with the veritas. A lot lighter and more sensitive. But they are way stiffer than listed so keep that in mind. As for the reel either up to the STX or go with the S model. They cast a lot better, especially lighter baits.
  16. Thats the site i had been looking for! I used him to make some custom Astro decals on my last boat. Thanks^^
  17. MK all the way! Never had any luck with MG at all. My 74# with twhe weedless wedge II is sweet.
  18. Ha, i have done that on the site many times as well! Even though many people bash Nitro i have always found them sexy & sleek. When i found this one at a great price i jumped on it.
  19. Holy smokes man that is HOTT!! Well worth the $ imo. I have got to find me a shop in my area that does this! Dont know of any.....
  20. That's what im thinkin paint instead a film. Probably last longer......i hope.
  21. Thanks man! I did google and didn't find much. I wanted something local or DIY to avoid waiting but i will look into them.
  22. Hey all, i have been researching this and haven't really found much. I am wanting to make the console windshields on my Nitro darker(blacked out). They are very lightly smoked right now. I have seen many boats with completely black windshield and i love the look. I called a couple tint shops and they said the curves and contour of them make it hard to tint with film. I was thinking maybe some of that VHT nightshades they use to tint tail lights on vehicles. I am open to any and all suggestions so help me out.
  23. Love em! Use the plain ol rattle trap and works great. I like to throw em right in the pads through breaks and canals in the cover. Gets em when nothing else will.
  24. Not new but got away from fishing for a couple years. Lost my account so i made a new one with my old screen name. Im 28 yrs old and live in Hardee County FL. I bass fish on weekends and just bought a new (to me) bass boat. Looking foward to getting back into this great community!
