  1. I am currently running a HB 570 unit on the bow/trolling motor of my boat. Ever since i bought it i have had nothing but trouble with it. The first one the transducer was not working at all. I sent it back to BPS where i got it and they sent me a replacement. I just installed it yesterday and it is all screwed up too! I installed everything just like the instructions say using the trolling motor adapter from HBs site. When i turned the unit on the depth won't stay stable. It jumps around and won't stop. Also, the water temp is reading 73.5 deg no matter if in the water or not. I know for a fact that the water is not that warm yet. What am i missing here guys? Did i get yet another faulty transducer? I really want to keep the unit but am getting pretty tempted to just get a refund! Any help woulb be great!
  2. That is not even a fair comparison, POWELL by a long shot!
  3. I just picked up a pack of 20 at my local ACE hardware store for $2.99. Any speaker shop or marine shop will sale them also.
  4. The closest i come to finesse is downsizing to only a 1/4oz weight on my worm! LOL
  5. I got a few last year like that and they still weighed 7-9lbs! I can only imagine them full of eggs. Hey Fin@tic, still waiting on you to come up to my neck of da woods man?
  6. 7' MH/F graphite is perfect for all my spinnerbaits
  7. I use all braid on my set ups and it does not backlash(anglers does), knots are stronger than any other line and i love the sound it makes coming through my guides! Especially on the hookset!
  8. Braid will slice through all kinds of vegetation and gives you ultimate line limpness. You will regret your mono when a hawg tangles you up and snaps the line like its nothing.
  9. Revo STX in 6:4:1 if you want the full fury of the Abu drag!
  10. Guy trying to launch a Stratos Pro with the transom straps still tied down, LOL!
  11. Depends on time of year and if i am free all day. Usually 10-12 hours though.
  12. Hey Strike King, that is one hell of an upgrade from your last one man! Nice ....................... my bro had one for years before getting a Nitro Z-9 early last year.
  13. I got a few there last year and a couple spit out big blue gills in the live wells. Blue gill patterns and imitations may be a good starting point.
  14. STX is by far the best of that group. The SX to me backlashes a lot easier and does not cast as far as the STX. I had 10 SXs until i tried one STX, i switched them all.
  15. I hate telescoping rods and will not buy one but it is surely an upgrade for you. The LT are ultra sensitive and really light.
  16. Kistler Mags don't even come close to a Powell! I owned many Mags before switching to Powell. Powell's are more sensitive, much stronger and felt "crisper" in my hands. The customer service is the best too.
  17. NEVER, i don/t even own a net.................................it's for rookies IMO, LOL!
  18. IMO they are okay at best. The Spro 4" shad is a much better more realistic option for the same $.
  19. Most of the time from about 7:00am - noon. For size from about noon to 2:00pm.
  20. It was an 01 i believe. It was beautiful but we couldn't come to terms on the price so i passed.
  21. GOTTA LOVE THE EFF ELL!!!! NICE
  22. I almost bought a TR-186 with a 115 Merc last year. It was in MINT condition and asking dealer price was $6,999. I would talk the guy down a bit if you can.
  23. Just get some R2S frogs and you will have no further issues.
