  1. Got a Curado at Bass Pro today, now need a rod to pair with it. The three rods I am really looking hard at are the Mojo Bass, BuCoo or Compre. Going to use it for plastics and/or Jigs, may do a little Carolina Rigging. What do you all think, any of those gonna be good to go? Looking at Bass Pro, not wanting to spend much more than about $120? Any suggestions?
  2. I got 2, a 6 and a 7. They said they had 300 to start the day and the 6s and 7s were gone in a few hours. There were still about 30 5's when I went by about an hour before close. That was at the Springfield MO, store. Did all the other stores have 300 at the start?
  3. 1.Albino Bronzeye Frog 2. Okeechobee Craw Hart Jig 3/8 oz with a GP Rage Craw Trailer 3. 3/8 oz Chartreuse White Booyah Spinnerbait 4. Texas Rigged Green Pumpkin Purple Brush Hog 5. Sexy Shad Strike King 6XD

What is Yalls favorite brand of chatterbait?
  5. I dont have much confidence in a Swim Jig either
  6. For me I will have to say a Tube. Ive fished a tube a little bit, but not much. Just dont have an confidence to use it much. Im going to work on it a little more this year so maybe I can get a little confidence in it.
  7. I'm curious as to how much the new Veritas will cost. I thought $99 was a great price for that rod...
  8. Any chance you could post that picture? I would love to see what they look like. I will probably buy a few of the Veritas rods now that they are only 80
  9. I am actually in the exact same boat you are in. Looking for the exact same thing. I am thinking I will go with the Veritas. Probably the 7' MH Fast action. I have a veritas and Vendetta and prefer the Veritas much more.
  10. I love my Veritas, I'm assuming Abu is going to be releasing a new rod, which is why the Veritas dropped, but who knows. Im about to buy another or two since it dropped.
  11. I just got a new Revo S for frog fishing and was going to put 50 lb Power Pro on there, but should I put a line backing on there first??? I was considering 10 lb Trilene Big game for a little bit, but not sure. What do yall think? Backing or not?
  12. hahaha, I was about to say the twitch bar too!
  13. Hey man, I started the same way, on a budget, going to local ponds. I started with a Shimano Spirex/ Bass pro Bionic Blade combo from bass pro. Rod was 6' medium so i could go through the woods and cast easier while bank fishing. It was a great way to start because i could fish small spinnerbaits, small worms, baby brush hogs, small rattle traps, grubs, all that kind of stuff. Shoot, that was 15 years ago or so and Im still using the rod, however I got a better reel on it now. Anyway, hope this helps. I would suggest a shorter rod because it should be easier to navigate while on your bike.
  14. that yellow frog with the Grub legs is awesome!
  15. That is ironic that it came the next day. I dont know what I am going to do about my Frog rod yet. All rod brands have good and bad, not sure what I think about Duckett. Have never used one.
  16. Buzzfrog you use the Quantum frog rod?
  17. I wasnt saying it to say that he helped me with rods, but to explain why he was supporting Duckett so much. I dont think I will get the Duckett Rod because I havent used any and I will stick to what I know.
  18. I sent Dean Rojas a message on facebook asking about frog rods, not expecting an answer back, but he did send me a message and said next month to expect a Dean Rojas Signature Rod coming out from Duckett Rods
  19. I really love my Veritas for jig and soft plastic fishing, and am looking to purchase another but this time for frog fishing. I would suggest it, but make sure its guides are nice. A lot of people have said their guides are not always straight. Also heard good things about the MOJO. I think both rods are nice, so whatever you decide, it will probably be a nice rod.
  20. I was looking between the Tatula and a Revo S or SX and I went Revo because the Tatula rubbed on my hand weird. I wish it had the same basic shape as the excelor. Anyway, it seemed rad other than the way it set on my hand.
  21. I live an hour away from a Bass Pro but I will be in town on the 15th and think its probably too good of a deal a Curado for 100. Dont have a Curado, but my Cousin loves his, however I think its the model before this. How nice is the G? Is it a good enough price to think about getting a 2nd? Thanks yall.
  22. I personally LOVE my Revo S. I actually just bought a 2nd because I loved the first so much. So my lineup now consists of 2 Revo S generation 3s. I have not had veery good luck with Bass Pro brand reels, however I know a lot of people love them. Mine seemed to last about 13-14 months before pooping out. Anyway, I love everything about the Revo S and would strongly recommend it.
  23. I think the Veritas dropped its price to $80 too, right? Heck of a rod for $80 in my opinion.
  24. I think I used braid back in the day on one of those rods... I think, not positive, but if I did it didnt have any issues.
