  1. 7' MH Veritas, 7:1 Curado, 50 lb Power Pro. Have yet to use it, but Just bought it recently. I normally throw Spro Bronze Eye Frogs, but bought a bunch of Booyahs to add to my arsenal.
  2. 1. Jig 2. Spinnerbait 3. Smokin Rooster- Seems like every fish I catch on this bait is a big fish.
  3. I really liked their Chatterbaits. I dont know if they still make them, but they were my favorite of the bladed jigs
  4. I will agree, I think topwater is topwater. I think most people associate Frogs with water than mice, so I think that is why Frogs are more dominant on the market
  5. You could look at the Bass Pro Shops Crankin Stick. Its relatively cheap and a nice rod
  6. I have a 7' M Vendetta. I feel like the veritas is a more sensitive rod with a stronger backbone. You may like it a bit more than a vendetta

I think I may get one this weekend. I am from a family with bad skin, so I should probably think about it more.
  8. Yeah, that rod rack tackle storage shelving unit is tight
  9. Veritas is the same price and I think its a better rod. I would personally purchase the veritas over the vendetta
  10. You good. Its your opinion. Doesnt no one else know what your reels feel like. If you are disappointed in the Tatula, maybe you could exchange it though.
  11. I am sure either one will do well for you, both really nice reels, from what I have heard. You may want to try to physically try to go to the store and play with it for a second. The Tatula sat lower on the rod, and sat against my hand, where most other reels I have tried out dont. The only reel I have had sit like that on the reel was my old Citica which rubbed my hand raw in that place when I make a long cast. So I would personally go with the Curado because of how the Tatula rubbed my hand. When trying the left handed reel, didnt do it though. Anyway, I would physically try to hold them before you make a decision.
  12. I wonder why there are no customer reviews, hahaha. It does look rad though
  13. good deal. That 300e was a giant!
  14. am i thinking of another curado? THere was a huge one at Bass Pro when I went last week.
  15. I was surprised when I first saw the Curado E, it was HUGE. Too big for my hands. I thought the Tatula looked good, but it rubbed on my hand, seems like the reel seat is up there and the rest of the reel sits closer to the rod, if that makes any sense. Either way, both reels feel like they have a lot of power. A bit surprised the Tatula wasnt smooth, but there are always a few bad apples out there. Maybe exchange it?
  16. that is actually why I am looking at getting 2 different rods, so I can easily tell which one is M and which is MH
  17. Here is the deal. Got 2 of those Curados for $99 at bass pro a weekend ago. I have a Gander Mountain opening up close to my parents house, so plan on looking at the *** since i see so many people talking about them. I would like to get another rod too. One of these rods will be used for Finesse Jigs and smaller plastic T-Rigs, like a rage craw/ Rage Lobster/ or baby brush Hogs. The other one will be used for moderate sized jigs along with full sized brush hogs, Magnum Lizards, and stuff like that. Dont wanna spend more than $150 on a rod, since I am getting two. I know there are a BUNCH of good rods in the $100-$150 price range. I am not willing to purchase a rod that I can not physically handle ($100 is too much to gamble for a rod i dont think is comfortable), so I am looking at rods at Bass Pro, Academy, and Gander Mountain since these are the stores within driving range. Rods I have been looking at, like I said, possibly and probably a *** ***, Shimano Crucial or Compre, St. Croix Rage, Falcon BuCoo, Abu Veritas, and H20 Ethos. Any Suggestions? What 2 Rods would you get?
  18. How do you all store your rods at home? I was considering making a rod holder from PVC Piping, but have not come up with a design I am comfotable with. Anyone have a homemade rod holder?
  19. I would much rather fish a jig than a crankbait, but I know that there are days and times when its much more effective to fish the crankbait. I think you can do well with a jig most times, but there will be those days that it wont produce much. If you are strong with a jig and plastics, go for it, but I would suggest to always have a spinnerbait and a crankbait on just in case.
  20. I like Cinnamon purple Glitter twin tail grubs.
  21. They are all on their own scale. An Abu Garcia MH may be like anther brands Heavy, but their Heavy is stiffer than the MH, therefore their scaling is correct. Each company is different.
  22. That is an awesome idea to put the show lace on for a tail! I may have to try that on sometime
  23. I had a baitcasting reel that stopped working completely. The Handle stopped spinning. Not sure why, but it did right before the warranty was over. I took it back and put more money toward my first Shimano.
  24. I ended up getting about 10 of the frogs. Some poppers, some regular size and some of the small ones. I figured, I will end up using them eventually and yall said they are good. Id rather get them on sale, so hopefully I like them, haha.
  25. I tried shakey heading with a baitcaster but it felt strange so I went back with the spinning.
