I've Had It With Flourocarbon Line!
I used Flouro a while ago when I was living near Table Rock, thought it would be good for the clear lake. Bought some Sunline Sniper to see how that preforms in an upcoming tournament just to see how I feel about it again. DIdnt have a million problems with it, but I did go back to mono. What knot do you all use with Flouro?

What Am I Doing Wrong, Frog Fishing
Last year I was catching a bunch of fish on a Spro Frog. My rod was heavy and the reel gave me a blister so I got a new rod and reel. Got a 7' MH Fast action Mojo Bass Rod. It says Spinnerbait on it, but it seemed like a prefect rod for the Frog so I got it. ANyway, I have been throwing the Spro Popper which I hadnt thrown before and I had 2 bites that I connected on, but the fish threw the bait about halfway back to me. Both times the hooks were flipped around to the bottom of the frog. Wasnt sure if it was the frog or what, so I put a frog on that I caught 10-15 bass on last year. Got a bite, reeled down to the weight...Set the Hook, Felt the fish on there, and it got off again. Hooks were the right way this time, didnt flip them. ANyway, I can rule out the frog now as the reason I didnt catch the first two. What am I doing wrong? Im considering putting my new reel, which is the Curado 6G on the old rod. I think the old lighting rod is stiffer, giving better hook sets. Could it be that the tip is faster so my hooksets need to be stronger than before? Losing 3 fish is annoying, especially cause I dont remember losing any like that ever before. Can yall help pinpoint my problem? By the way, been using 50 lb power pro on both. Thanks friends

Other Colors Besides Black
I would say Junebug would be a good one. I throw Junebug a lot at night since its a dark color.

Next Bps Visit, What To Get?!
My top pond bait is a 1/4 oz Booyah Chartreuse White Tandem Spinnerbait. Throw it past the brush and bring it along the edge. You will catch a bunch of fish doing that.

Pro Qualifier Being Discontinued?
Right now purchases of fishing gear online over $25 will be free shipping. So dont worry about that. Its not a bad reel. I liked mine a lot until it locked up on me. I traded it in paid a bit more and got a citica at the end of the day, but it is a nice reel. I dont expect it to be on clearance, but who knows.

Old School Floating Jerkbait : Bomber Long A - Still Productive ?
I think some of those older baits are not used much anymore, so the bass around now havent seen them. If they have caught fish before, there is a good chance they will catch fish again, especially since these old lures may be new to Bass now

Best All Around Jig/plastic/worm Rod
I just got the 7'3" MH/F *** and I like it quite a bit. Gander Mountain has them and I think Cabelas might...

Favorite Lures?
I have caught more fish on a 1/4 oz chartreuse white Booyah Spinnerbait than probably any other bait, other than maybe baby brush hogs... So i would say those two are the most productive lures for me.

Spinnerbait Suggestions
When there is a little, even to quite a bit of wind, I throw spinnerbaits. My favorite is a 1/4 oz Tandem Chartreuse white Booyah. Caught so many fish on those spinnerbaits. Then in very stained water I will throw a chartreuse Luck'e'strike Rick Clunn Trickster. THat bait will throw off a crazy ammount of thump.

Storing Soft Plastics In Plano Boxes
If I had a boat I would put everything in Plano boxes, however I do not have a boat so it is easier to just pick certain plastics to put in a gallon bag or a Worm Binder. helped my uncle put all his stuff in the Plano boxes and its so much easier.

Ugly Sticks For The Grandkids??
Like Tywithay said, if they are destructive, go with the ugly stick. I have the 4'8" UL and have caught many many many fish on a 2" Chartreuse grub. Not the best sensitivity, but it will catch fish

Best/favorite Frog Rod Owned?
I used an older Berkley Lightning Rod last year. It was a 6'6" MH. I caught a BUNCH of fish on that reel. I bought a 7' MH Mojo Bass this year. It is lighter and I think it will be a darn good rod for frogs.

$575 Budget
Since you are a St. Croix guy, I would look at the 7' MH Mojo Bass for the Frog/Swimbait/Spinnerbait. It will only run you around $110 and its a nice rod

Rookie Baitcaster Setup?
I have the Revo S and 7' MH Veritas and it is a heck of a setup. That would be great for you, or even just the M. Either way, I would pick up the Veritas/Revo S combo. I have 2, cause I like them so much. Its easy to cast and has great sensitivity.

Lure Help
A piece of corn should work. A 2" chartreuse curlytail grub will catch anything.
