Your reading skills are lacking? I said on this lake at this time of years his weights are average. Be back in 4-5 hrs, busy boiling crawfish!

Y'all are aware what Ben is doing is average at best. Ain't saying he ain't good but he ain't all that. Clunn lives in Missouri & doesn't fish Toledo often.

A months salary is guaranteed, winning ain't. A months salary plus entry fees, you would give that up?
  4. Not exactly a "big" lure
  5. My #1 big bass lure is a 7 1/2" worm, #2 a Jig-n-Craw. Not exactly big lures

There's no less than 1/2 dozen guys who would smoke Milliken! Due to the off limits of the Open many locals who are guides would loose close to a month in wages. 35-40#+ stringer is highly possible!
  7. Trees on a point, trees on a flat, trees on a hump, trees on a ridge, trees on a creek channel. Two things are common, trees & structure. Another consideration, is there grass available nearby?
  8. Uhh! No! When making a cake you do not start with the icing? Structure is the "cake", timber/grass/brush is the icing. There will be bass suspended & there will be bass near the bottom.
  9. Same ? Long before Toledo Bend was known for its massive grass flats it was known for its standing timber...still is. I don't target suspended fish in standing timber, instead I look for fish located on or near the bottom. Look at the structure first & then then timber.
  10. Foward facing sonar & jerkbaits
  11. Location, location, location ? Throw what y'all want, if they ain't there it doesn't matter!
  12. Y'all quit watching already? My 60# guess was kinda light!
  13. I prefer fishing team tournaments for the simple reason one of us will be on! I've never understood how guys can fish together & not fish as a "team"! Name any "stick" on Toledo Bend & I will bet you $100 they have an outstanding partner. That's how you go from 30# sacks to 35-40# sacks. Rant over ?
  14. @LovestoFish I ain't heard who is catching what where! How ya think "team" tournaments work? The team member in the back seat can be considered a non-boater. The difference is the top 5 of both anglers is weighed in. IDK if I would bet money on that!
  15. Lake level is key & it's holding steady.
  16. The entire lake is in pre-spawn, spawn, post spawn with any technique working shallow to deep.
  17. Lot of locals ain't fishing it but we still should see a 30+# sack.
  18. Stanley's Black Magic Vibra Shaft 1/2 oz, single gold Colorado blade, white skirt. Slow rolled on the bottom. Cast bank shallow, slow reel keeping it on the bottom & following the bottom contour.
  19. Consistent! Putting together a single day big sack is hard enough but for 3 days...IDK This is the time of year for big sacks...I'll go with 60+/- a couple.
  20. Mine was the fingers were faster than the brain!
  21. I've seen them literally shut down in a matter of minutes after a simple wind shift. What seems minuscule to us will totally shut em down. What we perceive to be sufficient enough for total shut down doesn't effect em in the slightest.
  22. Had mine removed 2-3 yrs ago, surgery in the morning, home that afternoon, back to normal that night. Three tiny incision scars is all that remains.
