    How Y'all Are?
  5. I'm cocked, locked, & ready to rock
  6. I got this here buddy of mine who hated spending money on worm hooks; for years he would only use the ole style Eagle Claw sprout bend hooks & he would sharpen them on a regular basis until the night he lost his first double digit bass. The weakest link between you & the bass is your line & your hook
  7. Some times it's operator error & some times it's bad karma I've landed fish that were only skin hooked because of a poor hook set & I've missed fish on Rat-L-Traps that had both hooks replaced offering 6 points with which hang up on something. Y'all can't stick em all & y'all can't land em all
  8. Tell us something good & how y'all are?
  9. Some time I feel like a nut some times I don't I'll weigh every thing or only what I believe is over 5 lbs; I keep a lot of detailed records so I've been known to get carried away.
  10. T bend has limited access to this site because of a slow computer; he does email me on occasion; he said some thing about being out of town for a week or 2. We had rain for about 7 or 8 days in a row but it has not rained for 4 days now; I'll get some of your rain in the way of raising lake levels. I was talking to some friends about me starting to guide; one of them reminded me of a major problem I have. He said I love to fish too much, I said aint that a qualification, he answers yes but you love it so much you'd do it for free.
  11. 1. Boxing 2. Niagara Falls (the rim is worn down about two and a half feet each year because of the millions of gallons of water that rush over it every minute). 3. asparagus and rhubarb 4. strawberry 5. It grew inside the bottle. (The bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The bottle is left in place for the entire growing season. When the pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.) 6. dwarf, dwell and dwindle 7. period, comma, colon, semicolon, dash, hyphen, apostrophe, question mark, exclamation point, quotation marks, brackets, parenthesis, braces and ellipses. 8. lettuce. 9. shoes, socks, sandals, sneakers, slippers, skis, skates, snowshoes, stockings, stilts.
  12. Y'all stay away from my side of town
  13. Those little boats are fine but I don't see any thing wrong with a 14' aluminum, it can fit in the back of a pickup, can up grade to an outboard with a trailer late.
  14. Y'all here the latest about University of Oklahoma Oklahoma must also vacate the eight victories it gained in the 2005 season and cannot recognize those wins in record books, media guides or in anything else chronicling OU's football history.
  15. If you have to sharpen your hooks you are using the wrong hooks; a quality hook should not require sharpening, if it should dull while fishing chunk it & put on a new one. If you are using 1/0 or 2/0 hooks you are using the wrong size; a Mustad 3/0 Straight Shank Denny Brauer Flipping Hook is the smallest hook I'll use; most of the time it's a 4/0. Never peg your weight, you want the weight & worm to slide up the line away from the bass. A pegged weight will act like a jig & force the bass to open its mouth; this is the main reason most people miss bass on jigs. You'll hear all this talk about hanging up if you don't peg your weight; I say if you aint getting hung up; you aint fishing in the right place. So shake you cotton picken little rod tip till the worm slides free & pause cause a hawg is fixin to eat that worm. Come on guys when you use a Carolina Rig your weight is 3 or 4' away from your bait; when you fish a drop shot your weight is 2 to 3' away from your bait & when you fish a Senko you don't use a weight at all. So why in the heck do you insist on having your weight next to the worm on a Texas Rig; you don't! When a bass inhales my Texas Rig all I in her mouth is worm & hook

  20. This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future! -Adolph Hitler, 1935

  22. If the points are not producing look closer at the creek Outside bends of a river or creek are common hangouts for deep water bass. Because of the water flow in the river or creek a ridge has been formed on the outside of the bend. Find the point of these ridges; anchor the boat in 12' to 18, cast deep with Texas Rigs or Jigs to find the bigger bass. Spots where two creeks intersect or where a feeder creek intersects with the main river are areas experienced deep water anglers seeks. Inside the Y created by the intersection is where you want to anchor the boat in 12' to 18, cast deep with Texas Rigs or Jigs to find the bigger bass. In winter months fish these areas with jigging baits in 20 to 30' of water.
  23. Both :'( I take my wife to work every day at 5:30 am; I pass within 200 yards of one lake & 50 feet of another. So I'm always dreaming if only you would go ahead and retire you dumb-bass; like this morning there's slight breeze, several boat sheds with lights that have been on all night. My little pea brain is just racing around through every scenario :-/
