  3. As every one here knows I fish Toledo Bend which one of the biggest lakes in the USA and I generally fish from a small (16-18') boat. Yes you can fish big water in a smaller boat, how boat handles rough water has to do with the driver more than the boat. I've been in 19 to 22' boats where I was totally wet and absolutely miserable because the driver didn't know how to drive under adverse conditions. With smaller boats you learn when to get off the lake and how to trailer to different launches instead of trying to run the lake. I would highly recommend the 75 hp outboard this would assure you get maximum performance out of the hull.

  6. With a Jon boat it really isn't necessary to install cleats, just use the bow eye and the rear lift handles as LBH has stated.
  7. LBH, aluminum is too slick for fiberglass to adhere to; while you don't want to remove a lot of metal you do want the sand paper to make small groves in the metal. If the resin/hardener is properly mixed and applied in a timely manner you should not be experiencing cracking. Most problems people have when applying fiberglass is operator error, there is a technique to properly applying fiberglass but it is not that difficult to master. Far cracks in aluminum I always recommend welding over any type of patch but again there are techniques required to achieve proper results

  10. I would have to respectfully disagree as with any product you'll find people of love the product and people who hate the product. I've had nothing but excellent experiences with Boyesen reeds but I will add my experience is with smaller engines 25/75 hp outboards and 125/500 cc dirt bikes.

I agree with Ronnie I own a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum 7 ½ barrel, twice I had to pull it for personal protection and both times the looks alone stop the individuals. If you decide on a large caliber handgun have it Mag-na-ported; Rifle style Mag-na-porting consists of two traditional trapezoidal ports and two oval ports cut into the sides of the barrel. This style of porting is available on barrels of 7 1/2 inches or longer and recommended for the handgun hunter and larger calibers. The side ports help by providing additional reduction in recoil and aid in barrel stability.
