That's actually a slow year with only 66 days on the water; I normally log over 100 days on the water. I know everyone's first reaction Why don't you fish tournaments? I pick & choose my days on the water; tournaments aint always on the days I fish. I think that's proof positive it aint the tackle it's the angler ;D 80% of those fish were caught on a Texas Rig or Jig-N-Craw 8-)

I read a study about the amount of pressure in foot pounds one exerts on the hook set. It was something like 12 to 18 foot pounds, rod length, and physical size of the person made little difference. Technique was what determined deepest hook penetration; with rod tip speed by using a quick snap of the wrists being #1.

This area is what we call 944; again you see the buck brush, along with another problem that can be hard on equipment. I don't worry about either!

Ya see the brush line in the back ground? That's buck brush; the bank is another 15 to 20 yards beyond that, which is what the bass on Toledo Bend spawn in. If you don't want your equipment scratched then go home!

Explain why pink, yellow, merthiolate, & orange work? I use a lot of blues and purples because they a visiable at deeper depths I agree with Rolo once the bass sees the lure, the importance of color falls through the cracks
