  1. I would dropshot stumps, rock and riprap on sharp dropoffs in 4-8ft of water That is what we call a pattern
  2. There are some excellent articles on this web site about spinner baits to add to them I suggest Kevin VanDam's DVD Proven Spinnerbait Techniques as a Christmas present.
  3. The boater has control of boat positioning and will front end you by placing the front of the boat towards the area being fished leaving the non-boater little or no chance of fishing the area. To counter this you had better be proficient at fishing deeper more open water.
  4. Painted blades work well in off colored water but I find little use far holographic, meticulously painted, or patterned blades.
  5. Old School Fish formula II with a ½ oz of anise oil added
  6. Aint you glad God answers prayers!
  7. I've followed this and other topics on this subject with great interest but was confused on some points. In my younger less intelligent days I was a boxer and fought full contact karate causing irreversible damage to my wrists in both hands. While it has not been a problem when fishing as I get older it will and this spiral wrap concept would help. Merci Beau Coup Tommy T.
  8. Cybasser, You walked from the dam all the way to the "Science Fiction Movie Canal" before making your first cast? That is totally amazing! Being willing to cover that kind of terrain shows a tremendous desire and I would be honored to shake you hand. Tommy T.
  9. Motivation tells me to get up in the morning and head down to the lake. Confidence tells me what lure to tie on & which area to fish.
  10. Dude that is so cool 8-) We gonna see your name in lights ;D
  11. That is why it's called fishing & not catching
  12. The little light has came on So what if any is the advantage of the rods I own other than a sells gimmick?
  13. That sir is common since What Jim is addressing is common courtesy A sportsman should have an abundance of both
  14. Question, my little pea brain is having a problem with this spiral wrap thing :-/ I have 2 ea. Bass Pro Shops rods that have the name Spiral wrote on the blank and it is my understanding that these rods have a outer wrapping if fiber from the butt to the tip hence the name Spiral. Is this the same spiral of which this discussion and others is about? Tommy T.

CAJUN WARNING Due to the extreme drought in Florida, the following caution was issued: The Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife is advising alligators both young and old to take extra precautions and keep alert for Cajuns while in Bay, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Brevard, and Orange Counties. Alligators should recognize the difference between small young Cajuns and large adult Cajuns. The young Cajun will be the one carrying the Sauce Piquant pot and the adult Cajun will be the one wearing alligator boots.
  17. The 5 companies you've mentioned have good reputations far building quality products and you would be served well with either. Personally I have two Castaways' that are my Texas Rigs; they are light, sensitive, good back bone, and have excellent warranties.
  18. With out getting into a whole metrological study, Wind is caused by air flowing from high pressure to low pressure, & high pressure and low pressure causes barometric changes. Wind, high/low pressure, barometric changes, water temperature, seasons, ECT all affect wildlife to a degree. The angler has the view the whole equation as do the fish, trying to determine which has the greater affect is not possible. I have seen occasions where it was to my understanding all the conditions were correct far the fish to be active only to be skunked. On the other hand I have experienced the exact opposite. While these atmospheric conditions affect how actively fish feed there are four biological factors that fish must do in order to survive. 1. Reproduce effectively 2. Feed efficiently (maximize food intake and minimize energy output) 3. Prosper during extreme seasonal changes 4. Achieve good growth rates by domination of the warmer areas of the lake during the colder seasons. You see it can be 28 degree with a north wind howling and water temperatures hanging around the lower 40s a bass still has to feed or die.
  19. Hum let's examine Angler: Rod & Reel Hunter: Loaded Shotgun Observation: Angler should not frustrate the hunter The outdoors belongs to everyone so why not share?
  20. Kourris reservoir
  21. Dhipotamos reservoir
  22. As avid angler I would like to offer a special congratulation to Cybasser, Vyron, & Dmitri far sharing their unique view of tournament angling. I did a web search far the Asprokremmos reservoir, Kourris Reservoir, & Dhipotamos reservoir to see some photos. People this is no walk in the park. Then consider these guys fished a different body of each day, forget what pattern you were on yesterday. This would be a tremendous feat in a bass boat but on foot, outstanding guys. Asprokremmos reservoir
  23. Now that's a tournament, no high speed boat, no advanced electronics, just you vs. the bass. Great work guys
  24. Mr avid has answered correctly and now has control of the trolling motor :
  25. First light to last light
