  1. I've kept detailed records since 1972 of every trip, including total number, total above minimum size limit, total below minimum size limit, & largest. I've had over 4 dozen 100+ days 2007 The Year in Review: Last year my time on the water was greatly limited but for what ever reason I was on big fish all year starting with a personal best back in February of 12 lbs. 8 oz. I think it was a combination of limited time on the water and the fact Toledo Bend was 15' low for almost a year before returning to normal. My limited time on the water had me relaxed and concentrating harder while the low water concentrated the big bass. 2. Rate of fall Retrieval rate Rhythm walking the dog Jerks-n-pauses Alabama shake This is what triggers the reaction from the bass. Figuring it out is time consuming but essential to getting bit.
  3. Humdinger 😉
  4. Yes sir 😉 Rate of fall is not determined by the depth of the water. It's determined by the aggressiveness of the bass. A two pound bass can stop one oz weight from ever hitting bottom & you will never feel it.
  5. I tired really hard to like Fluorocarbon! Berkley Big Game for everything but frogging & punching.
  6. Exactly 😉 I support local Mom & Pop stores, don't mind paying extra to get what I need when I need it.
  7. How much does a higher end rod ‘help’? Depends on what your hands are capable of feeling. Depends on what your brain is capable of interpreting. I disagree with the thought Pro use what they're paid to use. Ya really think KVD can't get sponsored by anyone but Diawa or Lew's? Or Jason Christie can't do any better than Falcon?
  8. Buckeye Lures G-Buzz 3/8 oz
  9. I will slide the whole skirt up in the o-ring making it uneven. Picture doing thas with this kind of skirt.
  10. You will have to be mindful of approaching weather. Thiat applies to fiberglass as well. Often times a bigger boat gets you in more trouble because you get a false sense of security.
  11. "Fish Chris" Wolfgram 😉
  12. Again depending on conditions & I will add it also depends on what I'm targeting. I'm I targeting a shoreline/grassland, laydowns, standing timber. Y'all know I ain't normal 😉 I prefer a hand control TM with 2 Big Foot switches on the floor.
  13. Nope! 4 sons, 3 grandsons, & a son-in-law My oldest brother has the green thumb not me!
  14. Wind speed, wind direction, & thickness of vegetation determines that.
  15. Depending on what I'm trying to accomplish. Sometimes I want a full length shirt with a 6" Gene Larew Hawg Craw. Sometimes I'll trim the skirt at the bend of the hook with a Rage Chunk. Sometimes I'll double skirt it.
  16. I think it's a dumb rule Ya want me to not talk about fishing! Good luck with dat 🤣
  17. The apple didn't fall to far the tree! Roland was known for playing fast & loose with rules.
  18. @Dwight Hottle Since the beginning I started walking & exercises as much as I can.
  19. Done! Ignore the hair band, when your granddaughter says put it on, you put it on! My biggest concern is weight loss, not fat but muscle. In the last month I've dropped 25 lbs+, not good!
  20. Scott like Roland has a hard time shutting up! Scott like Roland has a habit of looking for a camera or microphone.
  21. How many times do you try the same pond? My entire life 😉 Think of it like hunting for Bigfoot, you're looking behind this tree when he's over there behind that tree. We have to keep in mind all bodies of water experience highs & lows.
