  1. @WRB What you're missing is boat lanes. You do not have the option of selecting what angle you hit the waves.
  2. If tied properly you should be able to hold the mainline & tag end in one hand & the lure in the other hand. The knot should slide down effortlessly. If any pressure is required something ain't right.

  4. Don't see where I mentioned that anywhere.
  5. I use a Palomar on everything with zero issues. If tied right the knot should slide down tight with minimal effort.
  6. In 55 years of fishing Toledo Bend there were 3 occasions I ran boat up on the bank & got out!
  7. @RonnieF Heal up bud 🙏
  8. @fin It's my understanding the wind & waves flipped.
  9. @Susky River Rat once you learn how to use a push pole it's a whole lot easier.
  10. The Grizzly hull thickness is 0.100 5052 aluminum. The 0.190 is the floor thickness. There is a bottom hull, ribs with flotation & a floor. This dampens noise & adds to structural rigidity. The sidewalls do the same thing. Mine is a 1652VV Marsh RD Package Tunnel.
  11. I'm currently running a Alweld 1652VJT with a Tohatsu 40 hp. The Grizzly is built very similar to an Alweld. The front deck, rear "deck", floor, & sides all add weight. The Grizzly is rated for a 40 hp, personally I wouldn't go below a 25 hp. 48" bottom would be the narrowest I would go. I believe the 4,995 is without a trailer or outboard.
  12. Yes sir Pontoons despite their size do not handle rough water.

  15. Some where in the mid 60s I caught my first bass on Creme Scoundrel. Been chunkin plastics ever since!
  16. Barometric pressure is a measurement of the air pressure in Earth's atmosphere. What amount of pressure does it take to affect a bass at 10', at 20', at 30'? Barometric pressure to this Cajun is kinda like water temperature. Both are measured at the water surface. I'm aware of em!

    Contrasting colors 😉
  18. Doesn't matter if it's monofilament, braid, or flourcarbon a loose "coil" or two is normal. Watch some of the Pros on YouTube, they deal with that issue along with backlashes. Most however are afraid to show it on social media. Even the mighty KVD stripes a few arms length of line occasionally. Best thing you can do is educate your👍
  19. Guess none of y'all fish all day during the summer with rods out on the deck. The only problem I've encountered was with that big old chunk of aluminum called a Calcutta. Too hot to hold during the summer & too cold to hold during the winter.
  20. Harry's shave pretty smooth 👌
  21. Wind is moving water on the surface, current will be from the surface to the bottom. Most reservoirs have a constant water flow. Toledo Bend has 11 flood control gates & 2 hydroelectric generators. But it also has a specific size "drain" below the gates that in incapable of being closed. This ensures water in the Sabine River below the dam. A watershed is a natural area of land that drains water to a specific body of water. Next is all the creeks, bayous, rivers ect that run into the reservoir. Anglers look at visible structure, they need to consider what's below the surface as well. Couple thoughts while shaving.
