  1. @ol'crickety I have that happen occasionally when fishing deep water structure. My Texas Rig or Jig-n-Craw will be sitting on the bottom doing nuthin when something grabs it like a freight train taking my rod tip almost to the water. It's happens so fast all I can do is hold on, no time to even set hook.
  2. First picture you're sitting? Second picture you're standing? In the second picture I see lots of openings. There is brush off to the right & off center to the left farther back more brush. I could swim a worm through that or flip-n-pitch a Rage Craw. Do I think they are in there? Give me a couple hours
  3. Some days it's 💯 Some days it's, you sure you know what you're doing! Overall 90-95%
  4. I would be more worried of the line sliding between the ring & then possible cutting it.

That's your answer right there! Go to you local tackle shop & check em out.
  6. My favorite by far is Zoom's Ultravibe Speed Worm, 1/8 oz bullet weight, 3/0 straight shank round bend hook. I don't flip-n-pitch per se but rather roll cast.
  7. “Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.”
  8. My finesse tip of the day 😉
  9. Substitute a Ultravibe Speed Craw for the Beaver.
  10. Johnson Century Pflueger President Abu Garcia Abumatic Really never liked Zebco
  11. @gimruis That is correct 😉 Example: one bass on a DD22, next cast hung up so bad a plug knocker wouldn't help, broke that off, tied on another, keep chunking. Hung that dude up to, did that 6 more times. I understand budgets but I also understand I'm gonna lose lures. I try to minimize those losses but accept em.
  12. @MN Fisher never had that problem or even heard of that problem. I do however throw Dingers, Tiki Stiks, Fat Jobs & others because of various rates of fall.
  13. You can have lures in your tackle box or fish in the livewell...you can't have both. If one Senko catches one bass it's do it's job.
  14. My list is ingrained in my memory! At 73 my memory is still fairly solid.
  15. Yes sir 😉 I catch with Livescope & I catch without Livescope. I get skunked with Livescope & I get skunked without Livescope.
  16. @A-Jay Don't be afraid of the night...be afraid of what hunts in the night!
  17. @A-Jay 👍 Next after location is timing; just because you don't get bite does not mean the bass aren't there or you tied on the wrong lure. Sometimes they just ain't willing to bite, I'll move on, come back later & get hammered.
  18. Finesse: refinement of workmanship; skillful handling of a situation: adroit maneuvering Adroit: having or showing skill, cleverness, or resourcefulness in handling situations. I learned years ago, throw whatever it takes to get bit.
  19. Throughout my career I've been able to work 4 tens or 3 twelves & an 8. A 3 day weekend is huge for the working class stiff.
  20. Only thing to slow me down, old age. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak! Gone are the marathon days of fishing daylight to dark.
  21. Y'all's definition of finesse & mine are different. I throw Zoom's finesse worm or Ultravibe Speed Craw on a baitcaster with 15# mono & a 1/64 oz weight. I do very with a Bettle Spin 1/8-1/4 oz. Heddon Zara Puppy or Tiny Torpedo. Couple small Rapala's.
  22. The only time I go below a 1/4 oz I'm Crappie fishing! Dog Days of Summer I will be throwing a 1/4 oz on offshore structures & creek channels in 20-25'.
  23. How Y'all Are 😉 #1 key to consistently catching bass is between your ears not between the folds of your wallet. Lew's Speed Spool LFS SS1SHA 7.5:1 on sale at Tackle Warehouse for $74.95. H2O XPRESS Ethos Nano on sale at Academy for $66.47. Will this setup handle big fish, ask my grandson Aiden (on the left).
  24. Summer is my favorite time especially the dreaded Dog Days of Summer. Daytime temperatures here have been hanging around the upper 90s with water temperatures hovering around 80°. The entire region has experienced severe weather with lots of rain. Every body of water is high but the bite has been on 🔥. Points, drains, & ledges in 15-28' fished with 6XD, 10XD, Carolina Rigs, & Jig-n-Craws. The night bite has been crazy 🤪
  25. Bass boat & outboards shrunk large reservoirs & lakes.
