@papajoe222 Dead on I seen some really good boat operators get turn around once the sun sets. I keep a water proof box in my y boat with various items in it including a compass.

Can't stand anything made by Apple, never have, never will. My cell phone provider is Straight Talk®, I have better ccoverage than any of the big name companies. During hurricane Laura I had coverage everywhere while my wife & kids could only play games on their I-phone.- Happy 4th of July

Around late May through August I use a short stroke for both Jig-n-Craws & Texas Rigs. Once the lure settles to the bottom I will stroke 2-3 times in a fairly rapid succession. The height of the stroke depends on the depth of the water. Jig weights 1/4, 3/8, or 1/2 oz. Texas Rig weights 3/16, 1/4, or 3/8 oz. My thought process is a spooked crawfish flips it's tail 3-4 times propelling its self upwards & horizontally. During winter I'll move up to a 3/4 or 1 oz jig. I target standing visible timber from 4'-8' of water. I pitch the jig at the tree letting free fall to the base, then violently rip it up once. If no bite move on to the next tree.- what would you do
Of the double digits I've caught on Toledo Bend not a single one was turned in to the ShareLunker Program or Toledo Bend Lunker Program. Matter of fact I've turned none of the 35 in. Why Almost all were caught in a Jon boat with no livewell.- Tips for fishing at night
@Skunkmaster-k Most of the time there's no one on the lake but me & a couple other crazies, not even a Game Warden. If you have good night vision & there's enough ambient light you will be surprised at well you can see. Where's @A-Jay!- Tips for fishing at night
Lighting on the boat is determined by Wildlife and Fisheries. On Toledo Bend your stern light is to stay on. Most generally I turn all mine off until I hear a boat engine in the distance. I turn the stern light on first & if the boat is headed towards me its all lights on. I carry a Brinkman Max Million III Q-beam for changing locations. I usually have a cap light attached to my hat for removing hooks, reting, ect. Try to stay as dark as possible. I fish the same structure, the same cover, with the same techniques as I do during the daytime.- Don't Tell Anyone...

I'll say it again, you can have lures in your tackle box or fish in the livewell, ya can't have both. Speed Craws come 12 to a sack for about 5 bucks, if each one catches a bass that's .42 cents per bass. I'll take that 😉- What's your best bassin' skill? And your worst?

As a structure fisherman we're trying to get a 3D image of what's below the surface. Down imaging, side imaging, & foward facing sonar gives me that image I want. 55 years on Toledo Bend I got a way point or two. Before side imaging & foward facing sonar I had two choices to locate the bass. One I had to idle over them which has been proven to Spook a percentage. Two I had to use the fish finder tied to my rod. Now I can locate em from a distance. Now I will address Josh Jones, yes he is an outstanding big fish guy. But I hate to burst y'all's bubble but we've had those guys around for years. - Android vs Apple and beyond
