  1. I will fish wherever, whenever, with whatever! I wade fish Toro Creek below Toledo Bend with 1 rod-n-reel, a sack of Ultravibe Speed Worms, a few hooks & weights thrown in there. I fish Toledo Bend in a Bass Cat Caracal with FFS. I don't care, I'm fishing!
  2. On some reservoirs water level fluxuations are normal operating procedures. On some of these reservoirs the amount of water flow is quite intense. On other reservoirs like Toledo Bend, the normal flow is quite slow & only changes drastically during heavy rains. These changes are only a foot or two over a week or more. Both type of water flow affects the bass differently.
  3. @Woody B Simple huh?
  4. Uhh! Catching em ain't exactly free 😁
  5. Exactly 💯 My wife & kids ask why I don't keep some for a fish fry. I answer, y'all want me to catch em, clean em, cook em, while y'all sit around & enjoy em! Too many seafood restaurants in Louisiana & I ain't gotta to do nuthin.
  6. The bass on Toledo Bend are back out on summer structure. The old school football jigs, Carolina Rigs, swimbaits, & deep diving crankbaits. That's with FFS! 😉
  7. Stop throwing em 😉
  8. Everything down here is heavy cover. From marshes/swamps, Cypress lined bayous/rivers, lakes/reservoirs. Various types of vegetation, brush, & timber.
  9. High water levels, triple digit days, afternoon thunder storms. Sounds like it's time to start night fishing.
  10. Yeah I do both but way more old school. As @casts_by_fly mentioned it helps to really know your body of water. I know Toledo that well, even offshore. I'm using side imaging more than FFS. Lures are still old school; Texas Rig, Jig-n-Craw, Carolina Rig, deep diving crankbaits, ; swim baits.
  11. East Texas has gotten its fair share, all the lake, rivers, & bayous are up. We have also been experiencing strong south winds which has all the coastal waters backed up making the levels even higher. In spite of that Rayburn & Toledo are on 🔥!
  12. What crazy is the action! You'll wonder why you never tried it.
  13. Y'all ever take a Rage Swimmer or Keitech Swing Impact or the likes, rig em & fish em like a Fluke?
  14. I've known Lonnie since the early 70s, it's sad to see a legendary company go under.
  15. Eye Max, Hackney's Flourcarbon Jig, or Seibert's Supreme Grass Jig. I will use a Texas Rigged Jig
  16. Well! That's a big ol rabbit hole! I make those decisions the day before, on the way to the lake, & finally on the water. Y'all better have a plan B!
  17. Jaw Breaker or Moss Boss usually doesn't get a trailer. Uncle Josh Pork Frog is what we used for years. The flat surface of the Frog & the fat helps keep the spoon up.
  18. @AJ Hauser Long before Hollow Body Frogs spoons were the goto for fishing matted grass. Like Hollow Body Frogs don't be afraid to throw spoons in open water.
  19. Texas Rigged piece of plastic. Why? Cause I can fish it 24/7/365, in any cover, on any structure, at any water depth. Can my mind be changed?
