  1. I own one of the Cielos. The blanks are extremely sensitive, but they are not the same as the Steez as they are commonly mistaken to be. The technology to make them is the same, but the quality of the graphite is different. Nevertheless, they are absolutely amazing for a rod that's around $100 (they used to retail for $340, until they were discontinued). Keep in mind though, if you get the drop shot specific one, the tip will be so incredibly soft that you will not be able to use this rod for anything besides for drop shotting.
  2. why has TW still not put the verdicts on their site? Is it possible that there is a problem with these rods or something so they aren't listing it? This makes me a bit nervous because I just placed an order
  3. hahaha hey Dean! Didn't know you read these forums as well. I was just browsing and saw "DeanFishesNY" and lo and behold! Haha that's really funny. For everyone else, I am the guy who's selling the revo. It indeed is a '09 model, but in excellent condition and comes with the box and all the original papers, oil, wrench, etc. I'll send you a PM lol
  4. Very nice. The pointer is the only Lucky Craft bait that I think is worth it's price. I've had the most success throwing the 100SP in ghost minnow in stained water, and the 100SP silent in chartreuse shad in clear water.
  5. just purchased a 7' MHF Verdict. I haven't got a chance to fish with it yet, but I can tell you for sure that it is noticeably lighter than the Veritas. The sensitivity is also a bit better, but this was only based on some indoor tests that I did. I am really impressed with this rod, especially for the price, but I am concerned about how the extendable handle will do in the long run.
  6. x2. Also, it is not necessary to use a fluoro leader for fast moving baits, such as crankbaits.
  7. For the guys who have tried it, how stable is the screw end after you screw it tight? I am considering getting a few of these, but I'm afraid that the ends will come loose all the time when I cast because I like to hold the bottom of the rod when I cast.
  8. Tackletour recommends the curado e5 and the revo winch: http://www.tackletour.com/review2010lowspeedfinal.html
  9. was this with the butt end completely screwed out? I'm curious as to how durable this extendable end is. But I am definitely interested in hearing more impressions from people who have used these.
  10. amazing deal. you will regret it later if you don't buy it.
  11. or these: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&itemnober=38-252-023-05&partNumber=10209677
  12. x2. Don't care if I lose one, and in the price to quality ratio, they are great.
  13. I own one of these and it has kept me warm through freezing, windy Chicago winters: http://www.madbomber.com/ real rabbit fur is necessary if you want real warmth.
  14. I have been searching for a good fishing wallpaper for my computer for quite some time now and have yet to find one that I am happy with. Does anyone have a good one? I saw the ones on this website already, but none of them really caught my eye. My computer's screen resolution is 1600x900 in case that matters. Thanks.
  15. even if the molds are the same, the materials used to make them will be different so they will not be the same. the companies place a different amount of emphasis on quality control as well.

agreed. bitsy bug hooks will get straightened out within a few fish, especially if you are using braid.

  18. just checked the BPS website and they are sold out online I wish I had known about this earlier, I would have for sure bought one.
  19. Goose, Where are these $20 off coupons you keep talking about and why have I not gotten my hands on one yet lol
  20. what's better for fishing, the TacTikka PLUS or the TacTikka XP?
  21. What price range are you looking at?
  22. x2 for the alberto knot
  23. only had time to fish during the summer this year: 3/8 oz finesse jig with baby rage craw drop shot with roboworms/zoom finesse worms lipless cranks (mainly red eye)
  24. just curious, for the guys who use fluoro leaders, how long of a leader do you tie on?
