  1. IMO the best all around rod would be a 7' mh,fast action. That's just my personal prefference.
  2. A very similar event happened to me Farmers flats. This guy didnt fish though, he just was doing circles and churning up water. Some people are just drunk and stupid.
  3. Zoom. But a Lunker City Slug go will outfish them all.
  4. Why not try out the Abu Garcia Vendetta? http://www.***.com/descpageABUCR-AGVCR.html
  5. Never fished it and I already love it.
  6. I no longer use Strike King cranks because of them. They work too good and are very well priced.Especially the topwater and wake baits.
  7. C rigging is not hard to set up. I use carolina keepers and they work fine. Put the weight on (bullet weight), put on the keeper at the length you want then tie on the hook and done. http://www.2catchbass.com/store/info.php/id/911
  8. Tubes for spawn, worms for every other time.
  9. What is that? I saw big chunks of that stuff around Gilly's point and all over sandy creek.
  10. Just a heads up for all the Stanley spinnerbait fans. I went to Gander Mtn on Friday, and picked up 5 new stanley wedge spinner baits for .97 cents each. All of the Stanley's were on sale, minnowheads, wedge plus and icons.
  11. How about a 7' Cara t7 split grip "head turner". If she likes the cara why go astray?
  12. Honestly, I took up golf in 05. I have learned through our demo days at our local golf shop that it's better if you hit every set that your interested in before you purchase. I can't stress that enough. I hit everything from titleist, mizuno, cleveland, taylormade. all of them. For me Cleveland irons felt the best. My brother in law is a hardcore titleist guy. It's your money, don't waste it on the first thing that looks pretty, or the one that you don't hit as good but get it because it's $40 cheaper. As a recommendation try some taylormade R7 TP. A few years old, but they are a good set of irons. As a driver I have to recommend a ping I15. Good luck

  14. I'm going on Saturday and I will fishing the coves on the backside of gilly's point (highline coves) with the way the weather has been and with them generating, do you think by then the muddy water will be out of there, or should I still throw chartruese? I am not throwing my regular arsenal, the only plastics I am bringing are Paca craws and brush hogs with 3/4 parasite weights for punching an awesome grass bed in highline cove 1. The rest is traps, med and deep cranks, and x raps. Maybe a spinnerbait.
  15. Honestley my local walmart has revo s everyday for $100. I can find them at a good price. I was just wondering which would be better for senko's.
  16. Are the marker bouys still accurate? I will be going on saturday and was wondering. I will launch at willow oak. Also what color traps are working right now? Thanks Catt your info is always helpful.
  17. My senko reel started scewing up on me, so I need a new one. I like the revo s but am very interested in the orra sx. Anyone on here use an orra yet? Which one would you guys buy? No Shimano recommendations please. Thanks.
  18. I actually had my eye on 2. One is an American Rodsmith David Fritts and the other is an Allstar 7'2. But can anyone tell me the pro's and con's of fiberglass, or the reasons that fiberglass is good for deep cranks.
  19. Ok, I use graphite for crankin. I will soon be buying a glass rod for this. Can anyone please tell me the pro's and con's of fiberglass,e glass or whatever other kind of glass. Why are they better than my graphite rod. Thanks in advance.
  20. Come on Jeff Kreit. BIG BITE BAITS RULE! Sorry fishfordollars, I had to do that, he's one of my favorite pros.

x2 I used one today. I had zero luck on it but it was bad conditions. They swim perfect, look good, and the one I was using was very loud and clacky. Sexy melon is the color. Great baits for the price.
  22. Well, we started our day early, 50 something degs and a steady 8-10mph wind from the north, with 15 to 20mph gusts.Water temps in the low 70's. The first fish was not caught until around 11am. Can someone tell me how it's possible to catch a average sized bluegill on an xcalibur xr75. Anyways it was not looking good. I threw 10" motoroil worms, 10" rage anaconda in red bug, wat/red wave tiki craw dudes, smokin shad super flukes, wat/candy brush hogs, wake baits. My lucky Stanley wedge didn't even get a strike. My dad zero'd and in the final hour of fishing, I finally started catching fish on a hot steel x rap xr10. 3 little dinks the biggest was MAYBE a pound. We could not get them in deep water. Man, with the tons of money I spend on gear and dragging my boat 2 hours there and 2 hours back, the good fish to money spent fishing ratio is not equal. But it's always good to spend time with my dad. Oh well, maybe next time.
  23. I would recommend you do fish veach and the 5 fingers area. The lake will be choppy yes, but not so bad you can't do a straight shot across that section of the lake. That would definatley be the side I would fish. That side will be better blocked by the wind. Unless the wind does'nt bother you. I can't stand fighting the wind.
  24. Stanley wedge, minnowhead, vibra shaft, and compact series for my big lakes. And ol school H&H's for ponds
