I have caught fish on a gene larew salt craw on a shakey head. Trust me it works.

I have rigs set up for specific methods. 12 of them, all different sizes and weights of lures

I tried to take apart a reel that took on hurricane Ike. It had mud and saltwater all in it from the flood waters. I took it apart cleaned it up nice and lubed everything. Then i could not get that SOB of a reel back together in working order.

Sorry to steal this thread.A 7.5 is a good fish, but I am surprised that was the biggest you guys caught out of choke. This year they were pulling 12's 13's 14's and I think a couple of 15's up pretty regularly.

I mostly fish single and double colorado blade spinnerbaits. No matter what the conditions are. Most people I know throw tandem willow or colo/will. I doubt it's underrated, but around here it's not the norm.

I want the Mega Dog, I am just curious. How do you rig the wing ding and how do you fish it?

Surely that's not the fish that you're saying weighs 15#. I personally would like to see the 15# fish, did you get pics? How about the rod I would like to see pics of that too.

I could not agree more, that is why I am super picky about the music I listen too, I can't stand the stuff that is in drop A flat and just pure screaming. Some call this Nu-Metal I guess. -gk OH no no no no no no! Not Nu Mteal, Nu Metal IMO is garbage (not the band garbage). I dislike Slipknot,System of a down,Korn,Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park. I like some very talented metal bands that have no turntables. Opeth and Between the Buried and me are just two examples. Listen to "Selkies the endless" by Between the buried and me. They have a hint of Rush in certain parts of this song.

I have quite a few of them. 6 to be exact. I used to use them all of the time and they are good for the money. I only use 2 at this time though. But the rest are ready backups. Good rod for the money. Mine are all casting.

Catch them by hand. That's what I do when I wade the creek from time to time. I do take the rest of my tackle with me always for those days, when you just can't seem to catch crawdads. Order a trap online. I am sure someone sales them. All you need for bait is dead fish I THINK. Around here we have crawfish farms. It is just flooded fields with traps lined in rows. With all of the crawfish we have around here, I honestly have never used a live one as bait.

I launch at 5:30 am, fish till 11 or 12, go eat and cool off. If I am staying at a lake house I will go back fishing from 3 till dark. If I am not staying,I will fish until 2 or 3 with no break and go home.

I also did not know there was a freshwater sheepshead. We have them in saltwater and they have teeth like a human.

I have 2. I like BPS 12" squirmin super worms, and my huddleston deluxes.

Tx rig or Crig a 10" or bigger worm. I catch more on this. But I like to try deep cranks(I totally suck at them).
