So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Man I fished the south end on Sat and had a ball. Not only is it the most beautiful part of that lake I have ever seen, but the avg. size was bigger than that of the ones I catch in Sandy and Six Mile. I put 6 in the boat my dad got 4. Not bad for us considering we only fished from 8am til 2pm.Every one seemed to be over 2lbs easy. The biggest was I guess around 4. Thats good for me and him. He usually catches 1 and that's it. We caught a lot in the back of Indian Creek. Past the bridge. No takers on topwaters, but they sure seemed to love my xcalibur xr50. Only 1 came off a plastic. A grande bass mega claw (wat/candy) under a gambler KO hangover skirt. I will definately go back to the far south end. Plus it was one of the nicest boat launches I have ever used.

Mann's Jelly Worm
Tx rigged. But, I also love 'em on a c rig. They float very nicely. 12" is the way to go

Starting your own bait company
Let's say I wanted to start my own bait company. I want all the plastics to have all my own designs. How does a person go about getting these custom molds made? Also, what is the price range for things like this? And where do you get the plastics, flakes, scents to put in them? Thanks in advance

Diawa Tierra or BPS Pro qualfier? I am going to add to this... and Citica.
Man, to be honest I have both and if I had to choose just one it would be the PQ. Dont get me wrong I love my Tierra, But for the $$ and the selection of gear ratio's the PQ just seems like a better deal. Like I said, I love my Tierra, but I would go for the PQ. The one I have seems like a solid built reel with a good braking system. I throw light cranks on it like Bomber square A and baits of that weight and size. It will cast those very far on a med action rod with 12lb fluoro. They are both good. Either choice you will be happy with.

rubber worm types
Grande Bass 8" megatail in trophy hunter color, Mann's jelly worms both 9" and 12", and BPS 12" squirmin super worm. I dont fish with small worms. The 8" Grande Bass is the smallest I will go.

Big Bite Baits-Fighting Frog
Wat/red, vegas flash, and tilapia are my 3 favorite colors for this bait. Mostley flippin with a gambler ko hangover skirt pegged with a 1/4 or 3/8 tungsten weight. I have also caught a lot with these on a light weight c rig. I have also modified a few. I took the long tail of a BBB squirrel tail worm, cut the claws/feet off the frog and stuck the tail on the frog. It looks like a giant tadpole. It is awesome on a c rig. You will love those frogs. Very versitile.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Catt, has the grass in T Bend started gettig real thick yet? Seems like last year around this time Sandy was really grown over. So thick I had to trim waaaaay up and idle in the boat lane for about 400 yds before I could get on plane.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Does the water on the south end, Mill creek,Buck creek area usually stay clear? I was told it's harder to fish because it is always so clear. I am used to six mile and sandy where one end is clear and the other dirty.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Jack, if you decide to go in mid to shallow. If you have a Stanley double willow (gold blade) 3/8 spinnerbait in golden bream color, throw it. ALL if my T Bend spinnerbait fish this year have been on that color. My dad has caught on white/chartruese but I have out produced him by far with golden bream.

X-factor plastics any good?
If your talkin x factor from gander mtn, yes they are good. Big Bite Baits makes them for gander. A lot of them sure do look like the wave worm tiki line up. The tiki platypus and tiki swim bug especially.

Lets Talk Spawn
Flip flip and flip. What I did to increase hookups was not fish big baits. I was flippin a 5" lake fork hyper freak and they were still grabbing the tail, so when I set the hook all I pulled up was half a bait. So I went with smaller baits. Ugly otters, 3" hyperfreaks, Yo mommas.Using a 3/8 tungsten weight with a bobber stop to peg the weight. Also c rig a Lake Fork ring fry,Grande Bass rattlesnake, or Stanley sidewinder on a short c rig. 12"- 15" at the most. Also using a 1/4 or 3/8 oz weight. I tried to stay away from really clear water. slightly stained was best for me. Good luck.

waterloo rods
Waterloo makes mostley saltwater rods if I am not mistaken.I could be wrong though. A buddy of mine at work has a few. They are fine looking, very light weight, recoil guides. A little too pricey for me though.

Thinkin bout buying a glass crankbait rod
American Rodsmith David Fritts model. Also I have an Allstar that has performed wonderfully.

need crankbait help
I may be wrong but for stained water I use chartruese. Not full but mixed in with other colors like purple or blue. And for clear I try to go as natural as possible. Bluegill, sunfish, and shad patterns.

H2O Express hardbaits
H2o baits are awesome. Good VMC hooks, I have never had a problem with the finish on them. I own about 30 or so and I have 1 that has been flawed. It's a model d and when I stop the retrieve it floats up tail end first in a spiral motion. It"s weird. All others have been great.
