  1. I have plastics that are 15 years old, and they've been in a plastic storage box the whole time. I think it's safe to use one.
  2. this time of year in Pa, whatever you think is slow, make it even slower. I"ve caught bass by throwing a jerkbait and let it sit for 5 or more minutes with a little twitch every 2-3 minutes.you could use lipless crank baits, jigs crawled really slow.. its endless, but try what you like
  3. you could use epoxy or clear nail polish (about $2)... it will make it a bit heavier, but not too much. If you are worried about taste, you sould use spray attractant or other similar product
  4. i'm going to West Palm, and Miami in May, and I was wondering if anyone knew any good Peacock Bass guides. One of my fishing goals is to catch a Peacock Bass. Any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks
  5. wow, awesome fish. My biggest trout was 15 inches. I'd love to land one that big.
  6. Keep the money, drink some energy drinks , and be on your way
  7. have fun in Vegas. I went a couple years ago. It was awesome..
  8. if I knew schools even had bass teams 12 years ago, i think my life would be a lot different now. I would've definitely tried to get on the team...
  9. kids today have no respect. My neice who's 10 knows more dirty words than I did at 14, and that was in 1994. She knows a lot more than a 10 year old really should. I think our country will be screwed in 30-50 years. The children are our future, well, we are screwed.
  10. Catching a nice fish kinda takes the sting out of the expenses of fishing. good luck!!!!
  11. Congrats !!! I learned how to use a baitcaster last year, and once you master them, you don't want to put it down. The members on this site are very knowledgeable. they help a lot
  12. My 10 year old niece walk in my apartment the other day, and she was dressed EXACTLY like him. If it was morally and legally possible to slap some sense into her I would have... I don't get why girls like this kid. He's a tool
  13. Most of these kids were raised on the streets. How much can they change in 1-4 years? It disgusts me though that athletes would do stupid things to get arrested for. Their whole college is paid for, and if it was me, I wouldn't ruin that for anything.
  14. It's a terrible tragety. Mother Nature can be so beautiful, but so devestating. Prayers to all the victims in Japan...
  15. the rubber dry rots over time. youre better off buying new skirts. I saw a tip in bassmaster magazine recently, and the guy said he uses a heavy dental floss to re tie his skirts on. Just a few raps of it and the tie a square knot should work. Or you could use a small zip tie instead of the rubber collars that will eventually dry rot again.
  16. the longer handle has more leverage. Split grip rods are usually more sensitive also since you could hold the actual rod blank where the split is.
  17. i live in the northeast so I only fish 7 months out of the year. At the beginning of every season, I strip my line off, clean my reels, and re-spool new line. During the season I only change line if it starts to get memory (comes off the reel in coils). or If for some reason i have to cut off a lot of line, say a birdsnest or something like that. But copolomer line does last a long time on a reel
  18. you could use 12 lb flouro, or braid with about a 3 foot leader. I prefer to throw lipless cranks on flouro
  19. I'd try it. It doesn't hurt to try any lure. I have tons of lures in my tackle box, and I've used every one. If you don't catch anythig, at least you learn how that particular bait works...
  20. Bait monkey got me a week ago, and this morning. I ordered a bunch of stuff from tackle warehouse this morning. can't wait for it to get here
  21. for the price alone they are worth buying a few bags. I love the new designs, and the colors are great. People who knock them before trying them, have nothing better to do with their time than to negate everything...
  22. the price is great, and I think the color selections are good. I like the way they look kind of hard edged. I'll definitely try some of them out
  23. mmmmm bacon... Now I want a Pound of it...
  24. I'm allergic to stupid people. Also grass, and trees, and pollen, but no food allergies. hope you feel better. Take some benadryl
  25. I wouldn't have a problem with a woman fishing with me. I take my neice with me all the time, but she's only 10 years old...
