  1. Well, I've decided to keep my Lowrider. Casting in my backyard, it is a PERFECT senko rod. That'll be paired with a Citica 200e, and some PowerPro. Next is the flippin' and jig rod, a 7'3" HXF Vendetta, Citica 200e (new), and 15/20 lb (can't decide!) Big Game. Now I'll FINALLY shut up about this whole ordeal ;D
  2. sqhertz, The CXX is very heavy and stiff unless you drop to the lower # lines. You should try the CX prem, I think you would like it. x2, I use 6# CX on my Spinning rig. Very good line.
  3. Another believer! These things are SOO durable and soft.
  4. Canon Powershot A560. That's exactly what I have mine for.
  5. Now I've gotta figure out what to do with my Lowrider.......
  6. I have it, if what you want is a pool cue then that 's your poison, I use it as my flipping/small under 2 oz swimbait rod. Hahaha, cool. I'll get one soon. How does it balance with a Citica 200e?
  7. So with the $200 I got for Christmas, I bought a Falcon Lowrider 7' HF. It's a REALLY sensitive rod, however it isn't nearly stiff enough for my jig fishing. Part of the problem is probably that I got a rod made specifically for Carolina Rigs, but bought it with the sole intention of fishing jigs. Stupid, yes. What rods have you guys used that are underrated? I really want a jig rod in the 6'10"- 7'3" range, with a handle that is not incredibly long, preferably 9 inches. I've done searches on TW all day long, and every rod in that range seems to have one thing "wrong". Example: BuCoo's apparently have a parabolic-like bend, same with Powells and Lowriders. I've been looking at the Shimano Claruses. I know they're not as nice, but they seem to be nice rods for the $80 price range. Anyone used the 7' Heavy? I'm real sorry to keep posting about this, but I've already made the mistake once, might as well not do it again. Thanks
  8. Mine are my PB and spankin' my friends dad EVERY TIME WE GO. He's been bass fishing for 40 years.
  9. I hate you ;D Post some pics!
  10. What were your biggest fishing accomplishments from this year? What about the decade?
  11. as long as the guides can take it. That is a problem with older rods and rods with low quality guides, the braided line can groove them purty fast. That's what I meant. Can these guides take it?
  12. I got out to use my 7' HF Lowrider XG today, and it's a lot more flimsy than I thought it would be. It's really sensitive though. Anyways, can you use PowerPro on these rods?
  13. Lipless cranks, Senkos and Trick Worms. My best (and favorite) cold front technique is a Shaw Grigsby Craw with a split shot.
  14. I got a 7' HF Lowrider XG Carolina Lizard Dragger today. I know all of you were tired of hearing my undecidedness, but it's all over now! I love this rod already. Paired with my Citica it balances perfectly!
  15. Minnows on a split-shot rig.
  16. The only fishing-related thing I got was $200 cash for two new rods. I'm still undecided
  17. It depends on what you want to use them for. For spinnerbaits/chatterbaits, jerkbaits, top water including frogs and buzz baits, or other reaction type lures, I think the Extremes are just fine. For plastics, jigs, and other contact type baits I will buy the PQs from now on. The Extremes are OK for these applications, but the PQs are better IMO. How are they compared to name brand rods...like a Powell Max?
  18. Kistler Argon AFJ71C (7'1" H) vs. Powell Max 705c (7' Mag-Heavy) For jig fishing. Which one do you choose?
  19. It's the spinning reel. It's cosmetically a gorgeous reel
  20. I honestly have noticed NO difference in the two. The Flash and the Senko catch the same amount of fish in the same situations. Same deal with the Palm tree and the Ika. What's the difference? Oh, BTW, the price difference is VERY little.
  21. 1. 5" Senko (Black/Blue Flake) 2. 6" Senko (Black) 3. Trick Worm (Green Pumpkin) 4. 4" Power Tube (Green Pumpkin) 5. 12" Jelly Worm (Grape) 6. Jaw Jack Swimbait 7. Smokin' Rooster
  22. Yup. I've spooled without it, and the slick braid will spin on the spool. I just use old crap mono leftover from filler spools. x2, this is where P-Line Floroclear comes in handy. This is about the only use this line can actually do well ;D
  23. BTW if I get one, I'm gonna put it on a Berkley Shock with orange braid ;D Good Senko rig
  24. I can get one of the orange ones for about $40. Is it worth the money?
