  1. What is a good recipe for 5 inck stick baits? How much salt, coloring, flake, scent, etc should I add?
  2. What's that? Hahaha I sound like a little kid.
  3. I think I'm starting to figure this out. I want to put up a list of items that I need, just add anything you want. 1. Aluminum mold from Del-Mart (still deciding which one) 2. 502 Plastic from LureCraft (gallon) 3. Microwave (got that) 4. Pirex Cups 5. Colors 6. Glitter 7. Anise 8. Old screwdriver to stir with 9. Salt (is normal table salt okay?) 10. Bunch of bags for the lures!
  4. Thanks! I was also looking at this mold: http://www.del-mart.com/shop/product.php?productid=16450&cat=285&page=1 This one would be a lot more efficient for quantity. Anyone have any experience with these?
  5. What lures do you want to try this year? I really want to try the new Swimmin' Flukes and Jelly Worms. I also want to try some Paca Chunks.
  6. I'm surprised how many people have guns. I know when I'm of age, I'll be carrying.
  7. Thanks guys. What kind of plastic and will I have to use any softener?
  8. Pitching jigs in/around timber, by far my favorite. Close second is Senko around brush/timber.
  9. Pitching and cranking are polar opposites. You would be much better off getting two seperate rods for those two techniques. As for the pitching rod I think a Vendetta 7'3" HXF is a great rod for pitching jigs and plastics.
  10. Oh lord, I'm sorry. I forgot to attach the link! Hahaha stupid! http://www.lurecraft.com/catalog.cfm/molds/plastic-molds/worms/5x644:2260
  11. I still have the itch to learn how to pour some baits. My obvious choice is a Senko. I was looking around and found this "mold". I have no idea what or how to use it, it just shows a picture of the product. Anyone knows how to use this mold, or what it even looks like?
  12. First off, one of the most common mistakes people make is thinking that a 7' rod gives you 7' of power. That is false. If you compare two 7' rods, most of the time the reel seets will be at different spots on the bottom end of the rod. You could have a 7' spinning rod with a 15" rear grip, which gives you 69 inches of leverage. A 6'6" spinning rod with a 9" rear grip also gives you 69 inches of leverage. See what I mean? A lot of times a longer rod means the same amount of leverage but with a longer butt section.
  13. My aunt has one named "hemi". Funny thing is, it's the biggest baby in the world. I chased after it one time and it started crying to it's daddy. Also scared of little girls and kittens. Who would'a thought ;D
  14. To keep this short, it's a great rod. Get the 7'3" HXF. Great, well balanced rod.
  15. Couple of flippin sticks (probably Powell and Dobyns), some Curado 200e7s, and a bunch of 65lb PowerPro Along with a boat and house right on Okeechobee
  16. No more that $80. I was thinking about a Clarus 6'6" MHF with 15 lb PowerPro, for senkos. What do you think? I have that rod, the blank is very powerful but not with 15 lb test Powerpro is as thin as a hair and won 't stand sharp objects ( like rocks ), I wouldn 't spool such thin line, 30 lbs is what I would use. Okay, so will the guides take the PowerPro? If I don't like the braid, I want to be able to use other lines without the grooves.
  17. Thanks guys! I'll have to hold some different rods. I definitely want to check out the Clarus.

  19. Oh dear
  20. Sorry, I should have been more specific. Maybe I should just get two spinning setups: One for "unweighted" trickworms and other lightweight plastics, and a 6'6" MH with braid for senkos. What you said made me realize that they really are two different classes of baits. Thanks for the insight!
  21. To round out my rod/reels I want to get a spinning rod to match my Sahara. I can't decide what length and power I want. This setup will be used for senkos and weightless plastics. I really like the feeling of fighting a big bass on a 6'6" MF spinning rod (you kinda feel like the fish has the advantage instead of going up against a flippin stick) but I also can never get a solid hookset on long casts with copoly. So should I get a 6'6" M or MH? I was also wondering if braid would be a better option for Senko fishing. Thanks!
  22. To both of you: I HAVE THIS ROD. It would be great frog, jig, carolina rod. Well balanced. Ask any questions you want about it, baecause I know how it feels to be in your boat! BTW i have an extra one if you want to get one. I want to trade for a reel.
  23. Nick, have you ever had a Montecristo #2? Cigar Aficianado gave it a 94 I think.... fantastic smoke.
