Baitmokey Attack
I fended him off. Tough, but I did it! He was begging me to get the $4 Rage Tails, $1 Gamakatsus, and $4 Senkos. Good thing I didn't touch my wallet.

Powell Rods, Vendettas, and Zillions
I held some of the Powell's at the Richmond Fishing Expo, and I gotta say, I'm gonna need to find a technique to buy one for. ;D They were so light and balanced, I kept picking the same ones up to hold again. The Vendettas were also extremely light. I'm soon going to pull the trigger on the 7'3" HXF, although I didn't get to hold that specific model. Zillions are AMAZING. I really wish I had the money for one, or even a Fuego. All in all, I was very impressed with a lot of the mid-range priced rods. It seems like companies are taking off in that price range.

Shaving
Right now I shave about once every three days. In the next year, I'll need to seriously start. For Christmas my dad was going to get me an electric razor. Any requests?

Rod action Suggestions
Go with the vendetta. Much better rod than the mojo. The M/XF mojo would actually be alright for topwaters and jerkbaits, but I would go with the vendetta flipping rod

Jigs of a different color
I use three also. I used to use two, but they were being torn up too easily.

That's one of the things on my list.

What are you trying/restocking this year?
As most of us are cleaning out our tackle, re-organizing, etc, we're all making mental notes of what we need to restock and what new tackle we want to try this year. What are some of yours?

New World Record Bass Decision To Be Announced
6 No offense, but that was either not well thought out or just stupid. If it was "JUST the United States", it OBVIOUSLY wouldn't be a WORLD record.

daiwa fuego
u Uhhh, I don 't think so, just in the past year Shimano has manufactured for the domestic and import market the following magnesium reels: Core 100 Core 100 MGFV JDM Metanium Mg JDM Metanium Mg 7 JDM Metanium MG DC JDM Aldebaran Core 50/ 51 Mg And many spinning magnesium reels are still being made specially in the JDM With Daiwa we don 't really know what 's up, the Steez is magnesium. More likely they are moving away from using magnesium in their lower price range reels leaving it for the premium models. Just about to say that

braid help needed?
Yes, like Jig man said, fill your spool about 1/4-1/2 of the way with cheap mono. Your spool of braid will last 4x longer. Also, if you're going to use it for contact baits, get a chartruese marker and mark several marks at different line lengths. One for pitching, long casts, etc. It will help you see the lightest, lightest little bites. Good luck.

Senko rod, flippin'/jig rod, and new reel
Hmm not a fan of mono for flipping. Just not very sensitive IMHO. I prefer fluro and usually use 17# for the most part. I should have specified more. Not actually flipping, just pitching jigs. For flipping I like braid.
