Florida Bass Club October (Bragging Rights Thread)
I would spend hours in there when I lived in Orlando. Hours...just contemplating the options.

Nice LMG! Even large numbers of little guys is a blast. Some of my funnest days were tons of dinks. Lotsa laughs. Good times.

Lake Apopka
They are in there, but I think you are better off going somewhere else. There is so much water to fish in Orlando that it's ridiculous.

My High School Bass Team
Thats awesome man. I was on the golf team in high school and that wasnt a "cool" thing to be either back then. These days, golf and bass fishing are getting some real recognition in the younger ranks. It's becoming more socially acceptable I guess. Great to see.

Struck Out On Toho
The bite in Florida is crazy. Last week I caught 9 fish adding up to 29 pounds. I went out a week later this last Friday and got 1 bite. I feel sorry for the loss of money. If I were running the business, I would hook you up with at least a 50% off day. I would be passionate about my clients having a great time. On the other hand, The guide has no control over the feeding patterns of the Bass. Either way, sorry to hear. I've been out on Toho and caught 10 fish all over 4 lbs and I've been out there and got nothing.

Shore Bass Fishing,,,,numbers Caught?
Depends on the water greatly but I'd say an average is about 2-3 fish per hour. That was about my percentages in Orlando. That was shore fishing in ponds. Lakes on the other hand, usually nothing. Gotta get out there on a boat.

I have one. It acts like a buzz bait but you can work it much slower, which I think is much more beneficial... AND you can stop it! *Blublublublublublbub*

Florida Bass Club October (Bragging Rights Thread)
Yea, real cool video, lol. Lotsa action. Last week was a much better bite but it was a bit cooler and we have warmed up some this week. Cold front next weekend. I know the bite last week was after a cool down contrary to what all the authors say about cold front bass being tough. They were hunkered in the shoreline that day. It was dead out there and I was having a heck of a time with things. I also fell out of the boat at one point but I deleted the footage on accident. I wish I could get a better angle. I know I love watching vids of fishing when I'm not out there and I'de love to contribute.

Fall And Plastics
I think the only rule we have in florida is.. COLD = slow fishing in the crap HOT = Slow fishing in the crap Spring time = Spinnerbaits and top waters Any other time, throw what you like. I know the North is a bit different due to the extreme temps but Here in Fl, I usually throw the same stuff the same way all year unless it's spring time. The bass are CRAZY for moving bait fish style lures in the pre spawn, spawn, and post spawn.

How Many Places Do You Buy From?
When I lived in Orladno, it was BPS all the time. They always had everything I needed. Now that I'm in Gainesville for the time being. I get stuff from all over the place and what I cant find, I get from Tackle Warehouse. BPS is my go to and when that isn't available, I order from TW. I use the same stuff on a regular basis and more that half of it, I cant find here in Gainesville or Ocala.

Anyone Else Throw A Square Bill Almost All Year
I like the KVD 2.5 but I cant find them around here with a rattle. I need a rattle in that 2.5! I throw it once in awhile. Usually, in Florida, you are picking apart cover and shorelines but sometimes I throw a crank bait in between grass lines, grass pockets, etc. All year long. Whenever I get that little voice that says, "Hey... guy, look.... throw that 2.5 through there for a little bit."

Gander Mountain Tackle Bag / Vertical Storage Questions
Thought I would post this up. Really a nice bag and a great size. I'm thinking of doing 3 deep boxes for plastics and one for crank baits and top waters. Anybody also ever had an issue with a bag of this sort in regard to the soft plastics falling vertically when stored? It's a bit late for some of these questions but I didnt think about the baits falling vertically when I was in the store, although I played around with it for 20 min before I bought it. After the $100 I spent on it, I swear my plastics better not get all deformed! I will be livid. my un-diagnosed OCD has got my mind spinning on wether I bought the right box or not. I guess only time will tell. Otherwise, I really like this bag.

Fishing From The Shore In Orlando Fl
I know of some spots that are just ridiculous but I can't tell you about them unless I am there. Private waters. All the lakes are great if you have a boat. If no boat, then just google earth the area, look for apartment complex and subdivision ponds and lakes. I used to live in Aqua At Millennia, not far from you, and there is a pond there loaded with bass along with a small creek thing around the back of the complex that holds lots of fish. I used to walk that entire pond almost every night. Here was my biggest out of there. Stunted but still a good fish. Speed worms are the best out there! Many dinks but big fish are in there. Appartment complex ponds and neighborhood ponds are the way to go if you don't have a boat. Every place I lived at in Orlando, I made sure I had water available to me wether it be a lake or a local pond.
