Beaver Bait Question
Sitting down should not make any difference. A roll cast is just as effective as a pitch. I roll cast more than half the time when picking apart cover at close distances.

Swim Jigs At Tw
Ive fished many and I like many. KVD, Strike King Tourny grade, Bass Patrol, ect. I think it mainly depends on what is hot at the time and what catches my eye where I am at. Either online or in the store. As long as it has a quality hook, quality paint, and a quality skirt, you cant really go wrong. Jig's a jig. Also skirt material is a factor in presentation.

What Else Do You Target?
Nothing. Unless I am in the salt or brackish. Bass, Bass, Bass. Catfish only when alcohol and a late night of talking is involved.

Florida Bass ~ (Year Round Keys To Success) What's Yours?
So I thought I would ask a fairly lengthy response worthy question here. I have never really have trouble fishing throughout my life but after moving up here to North Florida, I am having one heck of a go at it. It has been rough on me to say the least. I have ZERO fish over 1 lb in the last 5 months. I have approached these waters in a typical fashion to no avail. I grew up in the Central Florida area and had great success in the Lakeland and Orlando area. Question being, since the water here in North.Fl seems to be more finicky, Little Lake Santa Fe is my go to, what are your year round keys to success? Looking for some basic thought processes to following throughout the year in an attempt to hopefully see something in a light I have never seen before. Yes, I have read MANY MANY articles on the subject but I would like to hear some personal opinions from you knowledgable folks out there on the subject. Winter- (Where are they? What are they feeding on?) Spring - (Where are they? What are they feeding on?) Summer - (Where are they? What are they feeding on?) Fall - (Where are they? What are they feeding on) What are your opinions on this? If needed, go grab a cold beer or hot cup of joe and get to writing.

Ever Lost A Setup In The Lake?
I just lost my $200 sunglasses in the same lake this evening. My sunglasses were on my hat, I felt a giant spider beast on my face, shook my head to get the spider beast off, and in go the sunglasses. First par were stolen so I bought another because I loved them so much. Second pair were lost in a lake and recovered. Then I finally loose them tonight for good. I have $500 literally invested in that lake. I better catch a bass over 11lbs in there to pay me back. I cant get a friggin break.

Florida Bass Club October (Bragging Rights Thread)
I couple bites today on the swim bait and a few boils in the evening on the Rage toad but no hook sets. I had one, a solid 10lb plus fish go after a swim bait as soon as it hit the water like a beast but she missed it. I saw at least 25 inches of color turn on that thing when it hit the water. I'm tellin you it's tough up here in G'ville! They just dont quite want it like they do in Orlando.

New Pb On A Swimbait!

Do You Risk Not Getting A License?
I have done it a few times. But the fact that your money goes to helping keep the waters clean and fishable is the most important thing. There are a lot of bogus costs around for services these days but a fishing license helps us all. You know where your money is going... for the most part. Wether you fish with a license out of state for a few hours or not is up to you but again, when you pay for a license, it helps us all as fisherman. Anybody who wants to refute the fact that revenue from fishing licenses do not translate into fishery management is wrong due to the fact that I personally know individuals who work in this field. Not saying the money is "all" there, but it is definitely "there". On another note, if it is private water, then No. No way would I dish money for that. Kinda like paying taxes to the Federal Gov during a shut down. "Ehem". Just saying.

Ever Lost A Setup In The Lake?
I would have went in for it if I knew where it was. Bogus. I was hoping it stayed afloat but I didnt see anything. The split corks on the Mojo Bass rods just didnt float it enough. I tested the flotation on another one of my setups and they stay afloat for maybe 30 seconds then they slowly sink into the depths.

Ever Lost A Setup In The Lake?
Well today was my first time. I look for my weightless plastics setup and what do you know, it's gone. Went back to look for it and no go. Must have sunk. Not even sure where it fell of the boat at. So disappointed. Gen 3 Revo STX on a Mojo Bass rod. Real sweet. And... I got no bites; as usual up here in N.Florida.

Florida Bass Club October (Bragging Rights Thread)
So I had a another pretty great day of fishing up here in North Florida, once again. Not only did I get ZERO bites, but I lost one of my setups somewhere on the lake. Fell out of the boat and I didnt even know. Revo STX on a Mojo Bass rod. Doesn't surprise me one bit. I cant get a break.
