Do they have any LC's on sale besides the Live Pointers?

He said in his post press conference that he would be open to marketing the lure. He made it clear that neither he nor his dad would be making them though. It's a basic Do-It Mold horsehead spinner, they are already on the market.

Everyone I heard talk about line was using fluorocarbon. Braid soaks up water and freezes, so it was out. Most guys were cranking or fishing jigs and underspins deep, so fluoro would be used in those situations anyway.

I like fishing Hula Grubs on a bare football head jig.

Keep in mind that fluoro sinks. If you're wanting to keep a floating worm on top, mono would be a better option.

This happens all the time, even at low level tournaments. I can understand people not liking the idea but this is nothing new and Ashley isn't alone or even out of the ordinary for doing this. I believe some states require you get a permit or some type of permission before dropping brush piles while others don't. This happens all the time and generally is a good thing for a fishery.

This is basically what I do too, except I wrap bubble wrap around the dowel to make it about 6" in diameter. This really gets the line off quick, especially when you're doing multiple reels.

I'm going with Lake Fork. I don't know if there's another lake in the country that can produce what Fork did during the TTBC last year.

Just ordered 3 LC 3.5 X18's to go with the 3 SK 8XD's I bought yesterday. Hopefully my Dobyn's 805CB RM will get here this week.

A rod doesn't care about what fish you target or how much they weigh. What you need to base your decision off of is the baits you intend to fish. You rod will have a lure rating, try to make sure your baits fit in that rating as a starting point. That's what you need to worry about more than the size of the fish you're after.

Nobody suggested he use more than 1 double footed guide. I wouldn't do that either.

You can do it that way. A lot of people like to start with a larger guide and transition to the smaller guides. I've used all size 4's on many rods and they performed great. If you do that, you have to start the first guide further from the reel than normal, like 24"-28". If you go with transition guides, start with like a double footed 6 or 8, single footed 6, then to the 5's with a 5 tip. Static test and test cast to get optimum placement. I prefer a spiral wrap. One dbl footed 6, two single 5's as the transition guides and 4's as running guides.

Anything smaller than a size 6 is considered a micro guide. "Macro guide" is a term some rod company made up, it doesn't mean anything. If you want smaller than normal but not tiny, go with a Fuji size 5. It's small but not too small.

It kind of reminded me of some of the really small Daiwa reels, (Pixy, Alphas, etc) only it seemed smaller. It could be because it is so light that it seemed smaller than it really is. I wish I could have put it on a rod to get a better idea of the size.

It felt like it would need to go on a really light rod or it wouldn't balance well at all. The reel almost seemed too small. Other than that it felt great. It felt solid and smooth. I liked the knobs a lot.

I got to handle one today. It's crazy light and tiny. I wasn't able to put it on a rod but it felt solid for how small and light it is.

That should say "medium power with a medium light tip." It just means the rod is a medium power and the tip is light, (which most medium power rods have anyway.) It is something you can really only know by fishing the rod.

They aren't gone, the Chronarch Ci4 is what the Chronarch will be from now on (and what it should have been from the beginning.) The E series reels are gone (unless they keep the 50's around until they release a new 50 size reel.) I'm referring to the Ci4, not the E series.

The Chronarch is still available and not going anywhere, in the form of the Chronarch CI4. Shimano won't release another sub $260 Chronarch again.

Cool, I'm glad they've worked for you guys. Bass actively feeding on shad is exactly when I planned to use them. Thanks for the input.
